Is it just me?
Or do more people wish Giant was still @ VAnguard. I miss days i could go to vanguard then avalon, and the variety was much more. Usually had 3 legit choices with vanguard, avalon, circus. I dont know im just venting /rant
With ya 100%. As far as I'm concerned, we lost Giant to Avalon much the way we lost Spundae.

The corporate machine wins again.
Numbers for Vanguard were going down. I didn't go there much the last year, but I never experienced it that packed. Not even for Ferry.
Giant went back to Avalon to handle the main bookings.
Insomniac tried going on its own at The Music Box, but that experiment didn't last for long.
Now with the massives being forced to go 18+, I don't think we are going to see the same type of insane lineups. Won't have the crowd to support it. So I bet a lot of those trance DJs (and others) will be looking to do more club gigs...just hope there's a place for them. Right now, there isn't much (where'd they like to play.)
Vanguard will be back! Last couple shows have been decent, numbers aside, the vibe was hella fun. It's my first mayor promotion since they kicked me to the curb 3 years ago, am back stronger and more driven then ever, its all just a matter of time.

I agree. Times are changing. And you never know, but you will have new options soon.

van what?
I love the competition between the clubs. It pushes everyone to the next level. As long as the competition stays fun though. When it gets nasty, it gets all fucked up n shit.
More options for customers too. I mean, who the hell wants to go to the same place week after week.

It's easier to get crowds for certain DJs, simply because of their name. Benny is one of them. It's about being able to maintain a crowd during all the weeks where you aren't able to book the well-known names.
