Help Lira buy a new chair! (lacksesepsotygh, stay away from this thread!)

Well, the good old chair I'm sitting on is about to collapse: two loose screws simply jumped to their deaths this month and it's just a matter of time before it becomes a threat to my anal well-being. Now, this is an old picture of my desk:

Though it's changed a bit (I now only use a laptop computer and my file cabinet is far away), I need to buy a new chair. What chair do you like better? The wooden one matches the rest of the furniture, but it's not nearly as comfy as the other one. Please vote in the poll.

Thank you, come again.

I voted the second one.
Comfort is more important to my anal well-being.

First one does not look comfortable

bean bag it dude. bean bag it.

When it comes to a chair, comfy is the most important thing to factor into purchasing.

William, I'm going to get that Carpet-tunnel thingy if I type in a bean bag every single day!

(I can't remember which TA said "Carpet Tunnel" for "Carpal Tunnel", but I love him for that )

haha yeah i was just kidding around. uhm, but of the two i'd go w/ the second one if it's comfort you're looking for. if you want proper posture, go w/ the first.

in either case i hate you for being able to make polls in the c0r

comfort over style!

And not just any poll, it has pictures too

#2 if you want comfort, but #1 might look better with the rest of the furniture

You can't be a doddering old professor with #2.
You need #1, seriously uncomfortable and a pipe so you can just spitefully C- everything

Shouldn't this be in the desktop thread?

Go for modern and ergonomic, it will increase your productivity!

If possible IKEA

He's a uni lecturer, 'productivity' isn't in the job description, a bit like 'efficient public servant' or 'honest politician'... just doesn't exist.

1: Cheap chair
2: C- essays
3...
4: profit, go home and sleep

lol that's so awesome

Go for the second one. I've got this one from Ikea and love it:

Posted by Lira on Aug-02-2010 14:45:

Fuzzqi, I live in a Ikea-free region of the world. As a matter of fact, the wooden chair is the most "unique" model I found from our very own hipster version of Ikea

And, Nate, the wooden chair is a bit more expensive than the comfy one.

I like the looks of the wood chair, you could always add cushions to make it more comfy, it will also last longer, easier to clean, and cats won't be able to destroy it. But I would rather that they not have cut down another tree in the rain forest so go with the modern chair. The mesh fabric is also better in hot humid weather.

Humidity is not a problem around here, IGK, Brasília is an awfully dry place

I don't know why only mods can post polls here in the CORe, but we can. As for the pics, I just used the [img] tag.
