There's a bird chirping outside

It's 2am and I'm trying to sleep, but there is one very loud bird somewhere outside that is chirping endlessly. Just a solitary bird bleeping away endlessly to itself. Unimaginably annoying. I don't know what it's trying to achieve, but if it's dying I hope it gets the fuck on with it.

Perhaps you could sample it and and slap it over a mundane beat and have a #1 Beatport hit.

Birds call to defend their territory and declare it 'theirs'. There are some birds that come out at night and call, although, if there are lights around that are on during the night (and also during times of sufficient moon brightness) mocking birds can be active at night. They're especially prone to staying up and calling all night where there is artificial light (such as parking lots) that provide sufficient illumination throughout the night. The deal is, if they aren't calling, then they may lose their turf or have to fight for it. So they call to ensure that during the breeding season, they let every other male bird around know that this area is claimed and that everyone else should just move on somewhere else.

Every so often it stops for a few seconds, and every single time I'm fooled into thinking it's given up on its pointless dirge. Then it starts up again in a different key.

If it's late at night like this, it's most likely a mocking bird doing its mating call. I had one outside my window too. Absolute shit head. Throw a firecracker out there, that'll get him to fuck off.

Atticus can fuck right off. Christ, I hate birds. If they didn't fly and people didn't attach romantic notions to flying and being as free as a bird then nobody would find the slightest joy in the feathered little shits. At my old house there was a single row of trees and in those trees lived a colony of birds who were impervious to weather, sleep or logic. They'd chirp every minute of every fucking day. They chirped at 3am in the depths of winter. Fly fucking south, you avian pricks.

I wish I had my air rifle.

That happens to me sometimes, right by the window to my bedroom. It's not beneath me to go outside at 3:00 am in my underwear with a broom and swing it at the tree to scare them off. Fucking birds!

That shit happened all the time with me when I lived in the dorms last year. Starting at like 4 am the birds would start chirping non stop until 2 pm or something. Rather frustrating at first, but after a while (for the most part) I could zone them out.

That's just the dawn chorus, which is nature's way of telling you your sleeping pattern is broken. I grew up in the countryside, I'm used to constant bird noises, but this is intolerable. This bird is one anti-social prick who has arrived overnight and is exacting a particularly irritating brand of noise pollution.

You must fight back! Set up your speakers at your window and rally EPIC TRANCE.

During this summer, unless I have my air conditioner on, the birds wake me up at 4am everyday.

Telling you mate, firecracker right in the tree. The noise will fuck him off. That's what I did

I don't know which would be more annoying, the bird the OP described, or Zooey Deschanel.
