And I'm Single

Yeah I'm single.
Weird, this has been one of my shortest relationships (we were together for 3-4 months) but this has felt like a long time coming. She's been unhappy with me, it seems, and I had been feeling like for a while so it's probably my fault - I just stopped caring sometime a few weeks ago. Tonight she was upset with me about something and I was like 'eh..why bother with this back and forth, it's pointless.. it's done'

Anyway,
recommend me some good choons. Maybe some soulful deep house- not necessarily depressing, but mellow and a bit blue.

I was going to post some really depressing shit, but then remembered that I actually like your posts, and shouldn't be a prick

Sorry to hear about your shit though, it's never much fun with stuff like that. Good job realising it wasn't happening between the two of you, and being honest about it (with yourself, and her). Best thing you could have done.

T'will all be fine

i thought for many many years this song was about trying to stop a friend from driving drunk.

Imogen Heap - The Moment I said it
I think it's about regretting something you've said that completely ruins the relationship. or something like that. I had it explained to me for about 45 minutes last year. But that still doesn't really explain all the funny hats.

ah nice of you thanks man. yeah in the past i always find myself hanging on to things. i don't know if i like this new way of doing it though - i feel devoid of emotion when i don't want to feel that way. it has more to do with myself personally than relationships, i think. so that's alright.

lol hey man i was actually really happy you posted that track. i used to really like pearl jam. there was a time growing up when ten was one of maybe 3 cds in constant rotation in my car.

Posted by pkcRAISTLIN on Aug-10-2010 11:28:

thanks to you, ive spent much of the evening going thru my fave pearl jam, alice in chains & offspring tunes. fuck, somebody send me some motherfucking weed for god's sake.

Posted by LAdazeNYnights on Aug-10-2010 11:39:

lol sorry man
i was never as big into alice in chains - i was familiar with, and fond of, their classic songs but never bothered to buy an album.
i only ever liked americana from the offspring.
but pearl jam i was more into - i bought all of their albums...nothing ever got me like ten did tho. that was one hell of an album. nowadays people look back at pearl jam and laugh - a lot of people my age, i think, who consider themselves to be really into music, are too ashamed to admit to liking pearl jam, or something like that. they were one of the bands that really got me into music. what can i say. i liked stone temple pilots too, and soundgarden. sue me.
people act like they were listening to radiohead heavily freshman year of high school. yeah right. most people just turn their noses when you mention certain bands but, of course, are too afraid to mention bands they were into. then again, most people i knew in middle school, and the beginning of high school, didn't know dick about music.

Posted by LAdazeNYnights on Aug-10-2010 11:42:

most of the indie kids i know that turn their noses at that sort of thing still don't know dick about music. it's easy for them to follow the hype train, but so few people i know can give worthwhile opinions about music. they'll mention a band they just caught - to seem so cool - but be unable to say anything meaningful about the show, or the bands album.

Cut your losses and deleted extra baggage.
Smart move. Think she will still go for an occasional booty call?

The Smiths are awesome.

You can and will do better, my friend. You seem like you're a really good guy and your ex seem like she might be a little confused about what she should look for along with who she is. I know it sucks, but I also know she may have done the both of you a favor.
