you know life isn't fair

when birdman buys a new veyron which is like 2.5 millions.

it seriously infuriates me that most of us are busting our asses (figuratively) daily for 30-50k a year(average) while being a productive member of society, and somewhat intelligent. then i see these fucking guys making millions monthly singing about stupid shit, with TERRIBLE fucking music that feeds to idiots getting hit by ice cream trucks...

You're totally right. These people have no sense of dignity/humility. They are brainwashing not only our society but now the whole fucking world because it's become so commercialized. The lyrics are ignorant and have absolutely have no substance. But, yet it has brainwashed our generation and the one under ours. I understand because I grew up around it, I'm from Jamaica, Queens. I grew up around some very horrible people. I listened to hip hop from when I was 13-19. Then I found EDM, and it opened up a whole new world for me, I'm 28 now. But, I understand that these people are a product of their environment, they're broken. It's just sad how you see that it really brainwashes, and destroys people.

Half of these guys are leasing those cars they're driving. The other half own them, but are gunna be bankrupt in 10 years. They should have learned by now from 30 years of examples in the hip hop game, it's called ****** rich.

Dunno

Wow, you just described exactly how I feel about sports and the players....someone really gets paid THAT much to throw a ball. Most people like sports so I am sure many won't agree with me haha

Posted by hellosam on Aug-13-2010 17:57:

just wait until you see what he buys when he does his collab with Tiesto....

Posted by amdmaxx on Aug-13-2010 22:47:

Only Veyron supersport pushes 2.0 mil, this is a regular 1 mil one..

stop hating on rich people, I'd sing foul crap if I'd get paid millions.

in some instances i can understand it - like the baseball players who bust their asses in the minors for years and finally get called up to only make league minimum for a few years. funny thing is, i'm not even a baseball fan. i like watching basketball but it's disgusting seeing how much some of them get paid. and when lebron media whored himself for that hour long special to announce where he was going - that was disgusting too.

I just hate people that buy cars for status reason only. If you buy a high end sports car, buy it because you really love and CAN DRIVE the car for what it was built for...not to show off...

oh, and Hockey players are the most underpaid I think for what they go through. Most kids start at 5 yrs old, and pay their dues before they ever make it to the NHL...I have no issue with what they get paid. + they are the most fan friendly people out there..

you never know... maybe he is into driving. I know he's got a sick fleet of rockets too.

BUT yo.. people...

don't hate, don't be jealous... these guys found a way to make millions of dollars and in many aspects... they ARE smarter than you. because they figured out how to be successful. and they are still doing it. shit, baby doesnt need to rap anymore, he can just take his piece off drake, then go find someone else when drake is done. its brilliant if u ask me.

and these cash money guys, they paid their dues, growing up in Magnolia or whatever NO projects they came from. And for the record... they built a YMCA in the ghetto in New Orleans. they give back. they at least do SOMETHING constructive with their money

Come on burak... you're better than that. i dunno about anyone else. but jesus, quit wit the hateraid. LOL. be happy.

@eco... yeah, you right. depends on who manages their money and whether or not they listen to them

*sigh* i need to stop getting sucked into these threads
*edit* or i just need to stop playing devil's advocate when i can see both sides perspectives

yeah, singing about bitches, killing, rape, sex, and throwing cash in music videos is a really beneficial way to help people. if he's was so smart, he would pull up his pants, and be a decent citizen to society. what pisses me off sometimes that these low class, moronic, useless wastes of flesh are paid so much by the recording industry to sing music that i'm pretty sure lowers your IQ as you listen. It's like paying william hung millions to sing his shit.

p.s this isn't about birdman. it's about all these athletes and musicians who are overpaid.

p.diddy was crying not too long ago because he couldn't afford to fly his jet from LA to NY a few times a month

latrell sprewell of nba was crying few years ago about the $21 million he was getting over 3 years and how it was not enough to feed his family.

etc.

Yeah, but this case can be made for most people. You can justify the money that an Italian mobster makes in this same way, by saying he's done a lot of shit to get there, and sponsored a wing of the local high school building. Or you can say Bernard Mehdoff was smart, because a lot of planning and execution goes into a Ponzi scheme.

They don't deserve our respect though. This country should be reinforcing different ideals than what you've described as "making money" = "being smart". My little cousin Diego shouldn't be wondering when he turns 15 whether he's better off selling dimebags because getting his college degree would take 6 more years.

I don't know, idiots like this offend me, and there's too many of them on TV and in magazines..

I adore sports and I still dont agree with their salaries. They get paid to do something they love, while millions of others are getting paid pocket change to wake up every day to something they cant wait to get over with......

There is no reason why these dudes cant get paid $500,000, budget their money, still be rich (ummm arent doctors who make half a mil still doing well? So why cant these guys do it with $20mil??)....and lower ticket prices to boot.....

Posted by euphoria on Aug-18-2010 14:39:

Wow, I guess I am not alone lol I was getting ready for some sports fanatic to tear my head off for that comment haha

Posted by MeLLyMeL on Aug-18-2010 15:05:

since when does having an opinion = hating?

Burak has a point which I see clearly. These people give back but not as much as they buy shit to "floss" with.. or whatever ghetto language they speak.

What's giving back is a women who lived well below the normals means - just enough to survive.. and when she died she gave millions to charity. Money no one even knew she had.

Posted by coolestrl on Aug-18-2010 15:36:

My take on this as i was telling burak the other day.
People are people there's nothing we can do about it.

We should feel lucky, we have good education, make decent living, live a good life and party every other weekend. while there are small kids in india starving and begging for money that is literally .02 cents in value.

and then there is always a rich turd who was at the right place at the right time, but the ratio is 1:100,000 or even worse.

The only reason athletes, actors, models, rappers make all the money is normal people look up to them.

he runs a legitimate business and is personally worth somewhere in the neighborhood of half a BILLION dollars. he's not rich he's wealthy and you don't get to that without busting ass and being relatively intelligent. he made his money in music but he also is in the oil business. him buying a $2.5m car imo is questionable but if that car is 10% of his annual income that's just like someone making $50,000 buying a $5,000 car. nobody would question that. personally i think more people should be like bill gates and warren buffet with their money but the fact of the matter is they aren't and they want to buy toys. few are genuinely productive members of society and most give away just enough money to help them with taxes at the end of the year. rappers/athletes are more extravagant with their purchases or so it seems but i think businessmen like paul allen buying teams is just as frivolous of a purchase as a car (and more expensive). i don't love the birdman's music but i don't feel it's fair to make him out to look like an idiot who stumbled upon some money and is quickly spending it all especially because he's been around for 20yrs and keeps making more money.

Somehow, I just don't see the oil industry being quite as lucrative 10 years from now. Not if any more oil spills have to do with it.

how about stop living in denial and realizing that majority of the rappers are nothing but rejects of the society who behave in a way that fits the stereotype. The suckiest thing about it is that the current generation of people follow those GED getting (or not), with bling bling out of their ass, and WANT TO BE LIKE THEM !!!! you goota be fucking kidding me.

Plus, those "musicians", lol, if it wouldn't be for their advisors would be working at the local carwash (which is where i think they belong anyway). I mean they did finish middle school at least I hope... Never heard of anyone dropping out of middle school.....ha ha ha.....

Peace Out !!!!! Prrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr....lol
