I haven't done a mix in months. I've tried recording a couple of times since, but everything has sounded so forced and I haven't been happy enough to use anything. It's been frustrating to say the least. I recently returned home from Japan, and while it was an amazing trip on so many levels, I've been completely unmotivated musically since I got back. This is my attempt to get back into the game, and I'm quite satisfied with how it turned out.
I wanted to build on the sound I went for in my last mix a little more spacey, melodic, funky, and deep. There's definitely nothing groundbreaking here; some of these tracks are newer while others are a little older. I don't think it's as good on the technical side as my last few, but I had a lot of fun doing this one. I would say this is a good representation of how I sound live.
Thanks for listening.

Great trackselection alltogether in this one, it has been on repeat constantly at home
glad you enjoyed it.
anyone else have a listen to this?
I'm actually about 3/4 of the way through it now. Really good stuff man
I think there are a few bits where the volume was noticeably higher/lower between tracks, but other than that, me likes.
I sense a different direction you're taking from this set and I approve. Not much else to say other than this was really solid and you better play like this tonight. Only poofier.

Ok, so I listened to this yesterday while at the gym, here are my thoughts:
Overall, I REALLY enjoyed this set. And Trace, I mean that in a very sincere way. Aside from a few rough transitions, this set was just so enjoyable to listen to - honestly I was surprised. I mean, I knew that it was gonna be good, because you're a good DJ and I like a lot of the artists that appear in the track list, but I was taken by surprise despite that. It just came off as a completely unpretentious mix, which was a sheer pleasure to listen to. The track selection felt incredibly fresh, and the way the tracks were sequenced within the mix itself was just perfect IMO. I love that Nikola Gala track, and I loved how well you transitioned into and out of it. Seriously, when Nightwaves mixed in to Keep Walking, I was just like "WHAT THE FUCK DUUUUDE!! THIS IS CRAAAAZY!!" and my energy level must have shot up by at least 200% (in fact that got me running so fast, I think the treadmill started to make some strange noises).
Seriously well done though. I didn't think this mix would stand out in such a big way for me, but it did. If all the transitions were executed smoothly and the mix was a little longer (would have been sweet), this would honestly be a contender for on e of the best sets I've heard this year, personally.
haven't had the chance to listen yet, but will.
