September Stereo Bookings?

They still don't have anything listed for September, and Labour Day is right around the corner.

Anyone one know what's going on there on the weekend of September 18?

I was thinking about the same thing... Who is going for the long weekend?? I guess it's going to be someone good but they should announce soon since it's in 2 weeks....

It's the anniversary of their re-opening this Labour Day. What a fucking weekend that was last year, wow.

So far, I only know D-Formation (aka Dimas) is playing on sunday sept. 5th.

I still think about that Roger Sanchez party. We all went to Stereo just to check it out absolutely expecting a cheesy set and a short night, but Roger fucking killed it. One of the best parties I have ever been to.

Im just wondering something....

what ever happened to stereo not announcing who is playing on the Saturturday....did they say that it would always be a secret???

Posted by HappyDude72 on Aug-22-2010 06:15:

I think they realized that their "find out on the dancefloor who the DJ is" policy wasn't working very well. Although some people were still going, other people were refusing to go without knowing in advance. Also, some people went when a DJ they disliked was playing and they were very vocal about their disappointement. So it was a great experiment but I think they pack the house more now that the DJs are advertised.

That's because you didn't know Roger Sanchez. He had a residency at Stereo at one point and every time he played stereo it turned into a legendary night.

If you want a real dj that will set the dancefloor on fire, Sanchez is one of the best out there if not the best.

The time he played on a Valentine's day (2004?) was amazing. I didn't care for him as much the other times I saw him there.

i come out of retirement for one night only in February.

I was expecting A short Cheesy Set as well, but he did deliver.
Was Good, but found it never went up that extra Notch in the early morning hours. You could tell he loves playing there. I remeber writing him an email thanking him for a great evening and he mentioned he loved playing there.

What I did find was that the Vibe was perfect, which made it very memorable. That was a Big Weekend in Montreal! Hard to believe its almost been a year since the Re-Opening. Hector Romero really caught me by surprise on the opening Night...really light it up before C & C came on, with some serious Dark, knee thumping inner beasty tracks

Now that the Sept line is out....I'm looking forward to the B & B alternative @ (()) Halloween...think I've got good Idea who's playing.

Rob Mirage put up on fb that he's headlining that night. I like his stuff a lot, might make it up.

ahhh ok now it all makes sence to me

That whole weekend at Stereo was nothing short of epic. From the fact that tons of people came out to help make sure Stereo opened at least on the Saturday after an unfortunate fire bombing again only 2 days before the grand 5 day re-opening celebrations. To the great success that was the legendary Saturday and Sunday night of that weekend.

I personally wasn't there on the Saturday I unfortunately decided to go Sensation last year with a bunch of friends and then was disappointed by Guetta and Armin, whom is the reason why I left that party "early" at 6am. Luckily I went out for Roger Sanchez on the Sunday and it made up for everything. I only wish I had done a Stereo double header that weekend and went on the Saturday as well. It probably would have even saved me some money going to Stereo two nights in a row. For what I had to pay for Sensation last year I'm sure Spin Laden will immediately understand what I'm talking about.

That's what made it such memorable experience for me, A group of friends & I went and helped out for a couple days after the Fire with clean up & Work, so when it opened, you saw a lot of the same people that were helping together to get her opened for the big weekend. I was amazed at how fast it got put together. It was pretty fuct in there! It was very cool to see so many people working together to get a club up and running. Really surprised they managed to get it opened for the Saturday. Both Nights were excellent, just different in there own way. That was a Serious weekend of Partying in Montreal. Double Pik Nik, Double Stereo and That Beausecour party. I heard pretty horrible reviews from that Sensation party! Never been to that one. The line up's never caught my interest, and tickets were Pricey. Atleast you made up for it With the S-MAN!

That weekend was beyond incredible. One of the best party weekends I've ever experienced....

Thats love I tell ya. There hasn't been any other club in the world that I have ever heard of that had a fire and then tons of people come out to help clean it up to make sure it came back to them bigger and better than ever.

I only went to Sensation because I was kind of outvoted, plus we had a friend coming into town from Vancouver to meet with us, and he barely gets to go to parties like Sensation in Van, so you know wanted to host the out of towners. None the less it was still a good weekend I was with good friends having a good time. But if I could go back and switch Sensation for Stereo I probably would have. I met up with a MTL friend whom had gone to the Saturday night of Stereo and waiting outside for 3 hours to get in after he left Stereo and all he could say was that was amazing. Then the same friend came out and did a double header and met up with me at Stereo on the Sunday for Sanchez..... what a trooper.

This coming labour day weekend is shaping up to be big too from what I hear. A possible triple Beach Club and triple Piknic weekend from what I have heard. Stereo obviously, Sensation with the beginning of Sensation taking place with Axwell at Terrasses. Thank god I can recover on the Monday
