Guns.
So last night, I shot a gun for the first time. It was just a .22, but I have to say I was really disappointed. I've heard all these people talking about shooting and how much fun it is and how it's this huge rush, but I felt like I was shooting a cap gun.
Is it just because it's a .22? Would higher caliber guns feel much different, or are guns just not as exciting to fire as I thought?
haaaaaa, yeah it's because it was a .22. I love .22s, but they have no chance of knocking you on your ass.
Try firing an AR-15 or a shotgun if you can. Or fuck, a .44 handgun - you'll know it's real when you can't hear for a good 30 seconds afterward.
Okay, good. Yeah my friend took it out and shot it a couple times and I was just like "wait...that's a real gun?"
It was fun shooting at targets and all that, but it still felt like I was shooting a bb gun or something.
So, tell me, do you hunt? Well, let me tell you something. Once you hunt a human being, you'll never hunt an animal again. You know, it's a different kind of rush. The problem is, is that when you've done it for as long as I have, all you got to show for it is an empty bank account and, uh, IBS.
Yeah, that's irritable bowel syndrome.
I shot a Glock, doesn't kick too much
I don't hunt. But that's only because it's only legal to hunt animals.
its only fun when u shoot some1
I try very hard to keep emotions and socializing separate from my gun shooting. From a purely physical aspect, I try to view gun shooting as a means of survival. On the other hand, I typically develop very strong emotional bonds with friends and tying gun shooting in with that (and thus developing strong emotional bonds with gun shooting) is not good for me.

Don't know much about guns but I'm awesome at shooting those flying plates, 15/15 every single time. Guess playing counter strike finally paid off

I've become good at shooting over the years, thanks to my dad moving to the south & joining the NRA
but I don't like it at all. It's stressful at best. I don't like the feeling of wielding that amount of destructive power, or of anyone else being able to. Shooting ranges are usually pretty serious business for me. They're more about me developing good accuracy in case of an emergency situation than they are about fun.

I got pretty familiar with this baby during my service. It's almost a copy of AK-47 and it's hella accurate.
.22 has a purpose and it's been designed for something what it's good for. Never take it to a range 'cause it's fucking boring.
Meh, guns bore me.
machinguns > rifles
though double gat gangsta style is pretty fun. braap braaaaaap!

I love weapons!
I've shot an M16A2, a crap load of different pistols, sniper rifle, M240 Machine Gun, M203 grenade launcher, AT4 rocket launcher.
I've also thrown live grenades. Feeling the percussion of it going off crouched down behind a wall 2 feet thick gets me hard.
I'd rather fire a gun with the least possible recoil, than one that'll bruise my shoulder after firing a couple shots.

If you're looking for a thrill take it to a wedding party. It makes for a funny prank.
