Good Intentions

For those of you who are already aware of this site, great. Otherwise, please check it out.

The link below will take you to a collection of sites that will donate money and resources to such causes as world hunger or the prevention of rainforest degregation. All you have to do is just click. The catch is you can only click once per day, so please get the word out.

the gif on the top of the page seems too fake. Its not possible for deaths of hunger to be appearing instantly.

The map was developed to show the approximate frequency and location of hunger-related deaths in the world. Whenever a country on the map darkens, it signifies that a person has died from hunger in that country. The map is based on the statistic that 24,000 people die of hunger each day (see ABOUT HUNGER for more information), which is equivalent to one death every 3.6 seconds. Statistical data from the United Nations is then used to determine the relative frequency of hunger deaths in each of the 32 countries with the highest hunger mortality totals.

mhhm, i think this should go in the chill out room since this room is one of the most isolated on the forums, even the mods rarely look in here (i have a theory that the reason for that is that most people these days stopped understanding sarcasm and jokes )

I agree this thread should be made sticky, and put in the chill out room. it certainly isn't funny, although i do think it is a cool website.

I have been a regular visitor of the hungersite for years.

some tips:

clear your cookies, then come in again.
then you can donate more than once.

click the sponsors websites. you don't need to buy anything, but just clicking through will allow the advertisers to think that they are getting lots of traffic to their site, and that equals more money to the hungersite, and more money to the people who need it.

Don't bet on it, I AM EVERYHERE MUHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAAHAHA but when there is like at leaset 100 new threads posted every day in the various forums of TA. some threads may not be noticed as quick as other ones . . .

Anyway moving this to the chill out forum is a good idea as more ppl will see it there, making it a sticky too, for a while but as we have so many sticky threads in chill out at the mo, i've got to drop a couple of them to make room for this one or someone (TiestoInTheMix maybe) will only make a thread complaining about the amount of sticky threads there is . . . . . .

btw TiestoInTheMix that was some sarcasm just for u
