Tranceaddict.com

Is there a place on the site a bit about its history, I've been a member of the forums since 2004 and dont really know who keeps it all running etc..apart from a guy called swamper!

Even went to the TA tent in Tomrrowland so thought I should know!

It's all about Sushipunk and a couple of other people, and there you have me, the B-list c0r superstar.

Lira is hurriedly working on the TA wiki. Give it just a little more time!

Swamper runs TA on kitten carcases... Every time you make a post you are forcing him to throw another one into the furnace that keeps this pot a boiling.

Do you know how hard it is to set up a wiki and load it with all the info?

I'm still on Armin Van Buuren!

Are you truly setting up the wiki? I think I lurked that post the other day.

Why, of course!

I'm working on a Wiki specifically for the CORe, or something magnificent like that

edit: Bah, you know what? Here it is, TA's very own Wiki. You know what to do, oh legion of CORe Whores of the world!

It's an antiquated php based message board fronted with a bit of web 1.0 for news and stuff no one ever reads because they just go straight to /forums.

Set up in like 2000 I believe. Changed hardly ever if I recall correctly.

Basic, but it does exactly what it needs to do. So I like it. Keep it simple always best policy.

yeah the only change i've noticed is a lot more ads now than back in the day. i've been trolling since 2001 but it was for the main website and not the forum, now it's vice versa.

yeah i don't think you get them if you're logged into the forum but when you navigate sections (ie: music) you get popups, also tranceaddict.net mail didn't use to have all those ads either. I seem to remember all of TA (.com and .net) being ad-free but if that's what keeps the site running, that and the kitten carcasses, then i'm all for it. Other than that and the loss of our mascot intro page (that used to wear a santa hat around that time of the year) i don't remember any big site changes

Posted by david.michael on Aug-30-2010 15:10:

lol @ the wiki actually being set up

FYI, you get *1* popup upon entering the forums and there are extra ads intermixed amongst thread replies as well. (if you're not logged in)

As for TA.net - we don't administer that, everyone.net does so those ads are not ours.
