Justin Martin & Ardalan - Mr. Spock

I'm sure this is going to wind up becoming unbearably popular soon enough, so let's just get the hate started now.

Its like a cross Martin Brothers - Stoopit

and Snoop Dogg's - Drop It Like Its Hot

say what you want, this track sold out in 5 minutes on juno and absolutely wrecked demf this year

dirtybird at its best

anthem

Uhh...what the fuck is that? That chanting is awful, is that supposed to be from Star Trek? The beat is great, as is 98% of all Dirtybird stuff...but shit, the rest of that needs to be changed

Dirtybird is a party label. Claude Vonstroke is off his rocker. Lets establish that before we go any further.

The chant appears to be the same opera voice in Agoria - Altre Voci (which I love)

I like this spock track to be honest. The only beef I have is the fairly blatant snoop sample with the tongue pops and the and the "snoooooooooooooooop!"

Posted by MSZ on Sep-03-2010 03:08:

im really not digging the breakdown, buildups, however i guess it does make it more memorable... but when it drops its really good!

i think this is a great production... dirty bird is a party label but after being in san francisco for more than a decade their enormous influence on the music scene there has lead me to respect them very highly! They turn electronic music into something that everyone can enjoy... and their sound is without doubt very unique. I say props to justin!

Posted by pozz on Sep-03-2010 03:49:

i think this would be a pretty good track if the breakdowns weren't spaced 1 minute apart. its great pop music tho. millions of honkies and honkies-in-training would love this stuff.

The best thing about this video is seeing Vonstroke like 6 foot 3 275 pounds hopping around like a giant groundhog.

He is the complete opposite of what I imagined he would look like. Can't wipe that grin off his face when the bass drops...crowd is heaving. Respect.

theres definitely a lot of beards in house music, something that trance music today lacks.

Fun track!

Tiga used the Snoop-sample I think in this one @ 3:01

man seeing this brings such a smile to my face, being there was incredible, hands down the best claude set I've ever seen...which really surprised me because I've seen him before in chicago and boy was it a stinker. a truly electric night that was, was definitely one of the highlights of the festival, besides derrick may and michael mayer...

detroit > all other dance festivals
