that remix of mr jack is groovy, ill give this a listen tomorrow

I'll download it only because your antics in the c0r, the incident with Azia and the pictures of you posing as Die Fhrer put a (black)face to the music.

edit* im listening, this is the personal fav from you thus far, i think i listened to about 4 of your sets. its really good so far. great soul, great energy, more than half way done, shit, its safe to assume this whole set will be good. hope you fix the minor pops in the future(i believe theyre there, but way better than last set). i hook onto listening to your sets because its never what i have chosen to listen to.

i recommend more to download this. fantastic set.

thanks people.

there are no pops like last time...i checked twice before posting. some of these are records, they do that sometimes.

this mix is bomb. mostly

there's some awkward moments like i think it was Fish Go Deep & Tracy K - The Cure & The Cause (Acapella) that was playing at 1hour15. it was cool how you went out and back into the groove, but that acapella was played out waaay too long by itself. and i think the flow is suited much more for a club than for home listening, some tracks you dropped would have definitely got my feet moving, but felt kinda out of place -- a little too heavy, although it might just be me.

there's clipping from 4 minutes onwards. heavy clipping. especially in that piano track. and in that acapella at 75min. i thought a cable might be loose or something because they mostly occurred in the right channel, but the output volume is too high for each channel (or it might be that the input volume is too high on the recorder). the tracks you picked are really dynamic and have to be boosted a lot to really feel them out, but this can be done after recording to the total mix instead of during it. you could also consider getting a nice limiter, but it's more cost-effective if you just turn the volume down

I shall download, sir.

I really enjoyed this! I think my only complaint is that that last track (with the female vocal) dragged on for a bit too long, despite being broken up by the funky breakbeat in the middle. Also, there was one point in that track where the vocal clipped out when she increased her vocal volume for a high(er) note.

Other than that, sweet mix

sorry breh, im so used to digital and i only had about 150 vinyls max in my life, and never really had pops.

Posted by epicaricacy on Sep-03-2010 16:47:

actually the vocal does clip at one point near the end.

i don't edit, and this was recorded live (streaming in the cor)...so shit happens

about the vocal at the end....i did it that way because i had to wind down rather quickly as i needed to leave. I made it drag on because i really wanted to play that martyn track but the difference in bpm was about 10

thanks for the feedback poz...my levels and the waveform seemed generally fine at the time...i agree with the limiter comment, but i think that there is a problem with something in my setup. I need to deconstruct everything to find the bloody thing.

i just listened again, and i don't think it is a major issue...it isn't like this is a studio album

All these tracks sound exactly the same, you should slit your wrists and get into dubstep

i have a weed head band in 6 different colours...the nicest is in salmon...that's right, salmon, not pink.

Enjoyed listening to this. But, as others already pointed out, what you did there with that Tracy K acappella was totally out of place. (and the volume was also a bit too high) Certainly when you compare this to what you did with the acappella in the beginning. It went on during several tracks, very well done.

Track selection was great, you kept it all very attractive throughout the mix.

Keep it up!

Listening again now. Man, that second track with piano is fucking nice, and it fits so well with the vocal sample you're playing through it. Nice work.
