Armin @ Madison Square Garden... ????

I heard a rumor Armin was going to get the Garden!

Just a rumor but that would be a sick for the NY scene!

This was going around a few months ago---pretty sure it was figured out to be a rumor.

Eh I don't think he's big enough here to do a show in the Garden. Their event space fees are pretty crazy.

There was an April Fool's joke about this.

How much are the fees? There's a niche for everything in New York City; MSG has everything from country music concerts to Evangelist Christian masses.

Made Event has been half-assing promotion for Armin Van Buuren at Roseland and 2 nights always pack out. With really good promotion (billposts, billboards, viral video), an Armin Only at MSG would be a success.

iam sure they probly looked into it already
how many people you think msg could hold like on the event floor?
i think its probly too expensive
why would made waste alot more money when they can just have armin at roseland for say 2 nights b2b and probly save alot more $

are you suggesting it go mainstream like livenation/ticketmaster?

that would be tits, but i'm sure we would all hate it. I mean no gum, no glowsticks, have to sit in assigned seating.

Besides, MSG is going through a revamp. They are installing a false ceiling, raising the roof, dropping the suites down and changing all the seating. My boy is Project Executive @ Turner, it's a massive overhaul all while keeping MSG open to events, imagine that shit, building a roof while Lady Gaga is performing.

You would need at least 10,000 at MSG for it to be a success. You can't have Armin playing a set to only the people on the floor and the rest of the arena empty.

Roseland holds around 3,000, which is a BIG difference from MSG.

What I'd do to have Sensation White here in NYC. Best night of my life in Amsterdam.

I will say this from experience.

WMC 2005 the Ultra After party was held in the Miami Arena (now it's not a MSG) but it was one of the most amazing experiences ever.

The visuals that come with the jumbotron FIT PERFECTLY with the night. Sasha & Diggers closed it out and it was just mesmerizing. All the sections on the lower level were open. The entire basketball court was filled with fist pumpers and it was so hard to find my friends. "What section are you at?!?!"

I wish I could do something like that again. Obviously, the Miami Arena was on crack when they agreed to do it. They never did it again.

you really know how to give me a stiffy melly, don't tell thomas. by the way, that was Delta Heavy and oh god was that an awesome party. I still play the set and remember laying in some random row of some section with my sneakers off and my feet propped up laid out. Classic s&d sound, i think im gonna go play it right now actually.

The major problem I had with this party was how fucking long it took to get in. What was wrong with them only having one entrance open, plus making people wait in one line to redeem their advanced tix, then another to get in. I left right after Ultra and it took 2 hours to get in. I completely missed Hernan and Zabiela. I think Lavelle was on when I walked in, followed by S&D.

Other than that, it was a fun time.

I think it might have been the first time I heard that remix. I'd heard the original prior. AND then, everyone played it all summer.

TBH, I like that song, but it's kind of depressing and was not what I needed at that moment since I knew all the lyrics.
