Just buy Rebeat

Not really...
Beatport takes 40% + Rebeat takes 15% + you have to pay 100euros for the software...there are far more better deals out there...

So your saying that you have software than enables you to shove any crap you can come up with on beatport and make it look a proper professional release?

Has Armada not got this covered already?

Oh Snap!

i wonder how long before the software is pirated?

Posted by Raphie on Sep-10-2010 21:42:

I don't use the software and i am not on Beatport.
But if you REALLY think you belong there, this is your 100 euro ticket.

So if you want to impress your buddies with your "Beatport Release" Rebeat makes everybody a hero

its not that difficult getting deal with Beatport. Make 10 decent tracks and set up a website then email them. problem solved. then continue making 10 decent tracks a month to not loose the contract as they are ditching underground labels. thats the tough part.

If Beatport ditches the undergrounds, than someone needs to come up with an underground outlet quick!!!!

That probably won't work. I believe Beatport kicks out all labels that make less than 100$ a month or so (that's before it get's split up to you and Beatport). Especially when you have a bit of a backcatalogue it's hard to get under that amount of sales so you must either really do something wrong or you're just shite.

Any newly launched underground website would probably make less than BP would on these releases they took off their site. Some fairly small players have stopped in the last few years.
