Linkin Park - A Thousand Suns

Bizarre album...I haven't been this surprised by any band in recent memory.

Literally every track is something completely unexpected. When they set out to make this CD they said they wanted to make it "genre-busting", and it totally is.

Is it good? It's going to take a few listens. Some of the songs I don't like, but after a release like this, this band isn't mainstream anymore. There are only 2-3 songs from this album that could make it onto the radio. Everything else is too complex/odd for the masses.

LP is still rock, and keep high quality

One of the few bands outside of the EDM spectrum that I am still able to listen to and enjoy.

Listened to it again today on a long car drive...this album is a keeper. Love the variety.

It's certainly very different, at least from what I was expecting.

I'm not entirely sure what I think of it yet, I need to give it another good listen.

i was totally thrown off by it the first time i listened...i had no idea what to think. fucking cool concept album though and nothing else really sounds like it. i just can't say that any of the songs really jump out at me, but thats not really the point of the album i think.

If I went back and only listened to my favorite songs, those would be Waiting For The End, Iridescent, and Robot Boy. None of the others are impressive by themselves, but when you combine them with the interludes and some of the transitions they're really enjoyable in the format of an entire album.

I find myself thinking about the last song I heard while I go through the album. Like each track you get that "it's surprising I was just hearing that and now I'm hearing this" thought, which makes you appreciate the previous song more.

The only really bad track IMO is Wretches And Kings. It sounds like some poorly produced crunk rap song.

Hybrid Theory and Meteora albums were fuckin` great.
Not really a fan of this newer stuff...but everything before Minutes To Midnight, was awesome.

Do you remember that time she got so mad about her one thing that was bad that she posted pictures of the weed she owns and her unsavory looking friends who may happen to have ingested it later on after she took the picture?

I know, crazy, right.
