I love radios and antennas... but damn. I'll stick to the ones you can carry around on your back.

*video should be available now*

A friend of mine tried to get a job doing this. Apparently, it doesn't pay too badly, as far as low-skill gigs go. They started the stopwatch & told him if he could make it up & down in some set period of time, he had the job. Didn't take him long to start thinking about what else he could do that summer.

I watched that earlier today, totally gave me anxiety. What a fucking crazy job that is! How has that not been replaced by a robot yet?

You have to actually do some wiring/maintenance work up there. I said it doesn't pay too badly--not that it can buy you your very own, specialized, ultra-complex robot.

harness and carabiners, no need for chutes

i would love this job, the only thing that would scare me is excessive wind. other then that, as long as I'm in the harness and my biner is clipped in with a proper knot, you should be good.

humans are probably cheaper than robots...just like the "bots" on TA are not bots but actual Chinese people.

You're afraid of a piggy back ride.

...and just when you thought he couldn't find a skinnier bit to climb up...I almost didn't believe he reached the top!

If I had that job I'd certainly learn to BASE jump

That's definitely what I was thinking. Looks like fun, but I bet my arms would tire out before I could get far.

That actually looks like lots of fun, except for the effort of climbing which would pull your arms out of your sockets
