Sander Kleinenberg aka 5k??

ok so this might be a a stupid question but i saw this video and it shows that Sander Kleinenberg and Sasha are doing a Block of Partys together but in the video it says 5K and Sasha...Is this the new Alias that Sander Kleinenberg is using now? Its also says Album Release anyone know about this at all?? Heres the Video..http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CZKkn2XwHrk

5k = 5ander Kleinenberg
he wants to be cool like deadmau5

Posted by Sasha on Sep-16-2010 23:03:

it's also the name of his new album, not an alias

If that is the case, I am surprised that they have got together. The last time I bothered to listen to him, Sander seemed to have lost his way and was sounding more commercial.

Yeah, no.

When Sasha, Digweed & Sander played the Pepsi Forum in Mtl a few years back, S&D left the stage with a loop running for a solid 5-7 mins before Sander even walked on so that they didn't have to be up there with him. He lost a LOT of cred for a few years.

I'm glad he's getting back on form though.

Posted by Special K on Sep-17-2010 01:54:

sander lost the plot a while ago. but even when he was "on his game" he was still mostly hit or miss with me.

Posted by Abercrombie on Sep-17-2010 02:35:

5K??? Isn't that what the infamous Nick.... um.... the unspoken one wanted...

Posted by Scoops on Sep-17-2010 02:47:

Sander went down hill after the release of Everybody...

He had some hit or miss nights back in 04-06 but nothing outstanding after that

give me the deep dark prog that he used to drop back in 00-early 03

every single time i've seen him sander k was a relentless beast. boa, system, guv, til... always the same.

i'd even go as far as saying that sander k is the only dj that's never dissapointed me and that he was (is) the only dj that im really, really looking forward to hear (freq nasty switched to dubstep so..).

to each his own i guess.

all that being said i am extremely excited about next friday. my first "party" in ages!!!

they better dont shut the party down at 3 am like they did with plump dj's.

Sander can rock a party like it's no one's business, and the last few times I've seen him were really something else in my books. But even I, a HUGE Sander fan, must admit that he can be inconsistent at times. He's good, but only occasionally great.

Skipping his set at This is London I think, rather see him at Stereo. those humongous screens should suit the DVDJ'ing quite well. But who knows, I might even do both.

This is why I loved him @ Guv last November so much. 4am and he let loose. He was so good that night.

S&D kinda made him look like an amateur that night in Montreal, but really no one could have followed that act...

bah...

sander is still brilliant!

His 2001 essential mix is amazing. He lost me quickly after that.

I'm curious to hear what he has up his sleeves next week. He used to be my #1 a few years back but lost me for a bit. Haven't seen him since he played a fun set at Shine in Miami last year.

thats ridiculous. they play each other's nights all the time..sasha had sander play his night in in ibiza and sasha is playing at sander's upcoming night in amsterdam in october.

Altho not as good as Everybody, even This is Everybody Too was solid.
His interpretation oh house from that time period was/is one of my faves..

It was right after that that he went all electro and he completely lost me unfortunately
