-- What about remixes & creating songs

Posted by Solarisse Rhay on Apr-06-2001 08:57:

Question

What's the matter with remix a released song?
Is there any way to do that?
Obviously nobody out of the professional circuit can get the real tracks and I'm startin' to have ideas for remixes, but I can't do it...

And... What about creating a new song?
Please recomend me some good hardware and software to do this.

Thumbs up

To RMX a releast song you have to get permission from the Producer or the Recording lable than they will give you all the separate tracks so you can work on them . My set up is as flows Cubase 5.0 , MicroWave Pc , Tc/Native Bundle, GRM tools, Fxpansion plugins , Midi controller keyboard and a PC

Unhappy

only problem is, you've got about a 1 in 1000000 chance of the record label even replying to you request.

Well, if you've got no plans of releasing the remix there is nobody that would know about it, but if you're in desperately need of the seperate tracks there's no hope unless ask the company or artist..

Peace

there was a competition held recently in Australia where FBS released the separate components of Star 69

The bits are here if you want - not sure how long they will be up for tho. The competition ended last week.

Talking Yeah! I know

Actually I know what's the matter with the labels and stuffs like that, but what 'bout with using an owned remix in any live set u can performance. It's a very good technic to check out your skill in improvin' music.

The point is that, obviousy I do not have the tracks by themselves, and I want to know if there's someting to get it from the original song. It's quite difficult, but maybe possible. (Easier than get the real tracks from the label.)

So THX! 4 all your replies.

(Hey, what do u all use to make the jpeg's and animated gif's that u use in this forum?)
