DJ Mag Voting Ends Today 9/22!

I almost missed it again, voting closes 9/23/10 (probably Central European Time), so the cutoff is around 3pm today! If you want to vote and haven't done so, this is your chance. ok, let the "trash the DJ Mag Poll" messages begin!

The TA poll closes 10/22, so some DJ's still have a chance to knock my feet off the dance floor and influence my decision. DJMag poll ends today though, so last chance until 2011. I always try to vote in both polls, but still not one of these DJ's has become President, wtf?

i like the TA poll b/c it is there that you get to see a lot of familiar names. Like your vote actually counts for something. Well, other then the to 10 of course

just posted this on the markus schulz forums, what do you guys think.

"Just dawned on me, that other than the one bulletin he or his management posted on facebook today, there has really been no mention of the DJ Mag Top 100 from Markus' camp. Yea in the Coldharbour Day it was mentioned in his set, but that's about it.

Nothing else on facebook, nothing on twitter, nothing on the site other than the small banner.

Ferry Corsten, Above & Beyond, Sander van Doorn, etc go above and beyond (no pun intended LOL) to get votes (videos, twitter comments, fb comments, emails, etc) but Markus takes more of the quiet approach.

AVB has also been super quiet in self promotion, but it doesn't really matter for him as a #1 spot is pretty much guaranteed.

Do you guys think it's better to just let the fans decide? Or is it better to harass them to no end for their vote."

I can only speak for myself here, but I was going to vote for Markus to be in the top 3, but was up against the deadline and totally forgot him! If SVD and PVD hadn't emailed me that today was the last day to vote, I would have missed it entirely. I'll make up for Markus in the TA poll by putting him #1!

go ahead guys, vote for the same top 10 you have for last five years. lets make it a top five for trance, since trance still does rule. out!

Posted by chavalukes on Sep-23-2010 05:21:

I say that the Top 5 will have 4 trance dj's and deadmau5.

This is a much more realistic list IMO

Armin's "Mirage" album is easily his best artist album since "76", it may even be better. If there's any year he deserves to win, it's this one. Because of that, though, he'll probably lose his top spot. It seems things always work out that way.

I have a horrible feeling Deadmau5 will win. D:

This will probably be the last year I vote... esp if Deadmau5 or Guetta come in at the #1 spot, or if Will.I.Am places in the Top10... :/

If Schulz wants more money and to be #1, then he should be promoting himself for the DJ Mag poll. If he feels that he has enough money and is satisfied in his current position (hovering around the bottom of the top 10 for last few years), then promoting himself doesn't matter.

Shouldn't that be a bigger reason for you to vote in the future?

Posted by system-7 on Sep-25-2010 09:37:

I agree. man.. deadhouse5....deadrat6...deadksnoutrive.. whatever this super electro retard composer is... I will not vote after this. He probably faked that fainting injury 2 months ago for this reason, that bastard!!!

I don't think he passed out on stage purposefully. If he did, he's a damn good actor.

Although I'm not a huge fan of Deadmau5, I'd much rather have him in the top 5 than Guetta.

thats kind of why i don't vote nowadays either. Used to be an avid voter every year. Saw what was changing and just said fuck it.

Posted by element-y on Sep-25-2010 20:25:

Armins new cd is crap imo but i dont think actual cds make a difference to the majority of voters. Again comes down to is this a dj vote, a name vote, a production vote, etc. I vote a mix of all the above if there is someone who has them all. Then narrow it down if not.
