Any Idea when PAUL VAN DYK will be back in NYC?

Anyone have any idea when PVD will be back in NYC?? He usualy comes in November for Roseland Ballroom Gig and i know last year he did New Years there and he also missed Electric Zoo because of previous engagements but Hoopefully he will be back in NYC sometime sooon! Anyone have any Idea?

wished I knew when he would be back in the states, period. He is doing a UK tour currently and a Russia tour later, no US dates to be found. PVD had no previous engagements for Saturday when EZ was going on. He had a booking in Chicago Friday and a booking in Miami Sunday. I guess he went site seeing Saturday.

It seems like his performances in New York have been noticeably less frequent over the last couple of years.

Weird that he didn't do his annual summer stage in central park though

gone are the days of a pvd gig in NYC every few months... now i guess its once a year if we're lucky something is definitely up with his relationship with made --- and the E Zoo drama only proved that!

Posted by cl005k on Sep-25-2010 13:11:

I think PVD cancelled his E Zoo gig on saturday bc 1) ATB was playing on the same day and 2) ATB was playing on the main stage and PVD was put in a tent and I bet that really pissed him off. If I were Made, I wouldve put PVD on the stage and ATB in the f'in tent. So yea, the next time PVD comes to NYC, i wouldn't be surprised if Area or Live Nation throws the party.

yea i kinda agree and disagree with what he did
i mean he made his fans suffer for not coming but at the same time its like a slap in the face

honestly with ez planning on being 3 days next year, i would really like to see him there and made should deff take notes on how bad atb sucked this year at the festival and deff put him in the tent

If big names such as Richie Hawtin and John Digweed played at tents along with many others, I don't see why he can't play one. I'm pretty sure it was something to do with ATB or money reasons.

3 day sounds promising but it's not going to work for many since many people have job or school on that friday or even monday.

I only went to EZ on sunday but I honestly feel that Armin sucked balls for a headliner! I pictured Pvd there doing a much better JOB. He knows how to get the crowd going. Dumb move by Made I think... All of his parties in New York are always packed not sure what the problem is here.

I think she is talking from experience dude. I have seen PVD once but wasn't too impressed at the time. But that might change in the future. But I did heard from few people on the forum that he killed it at WMC this past year.

I think we got a pretty good amount of DJs coming to NYC and that will only get better when D36& Sankeys open soon.

Want some trance? Go see Ferry Corsten tonight at Pacha!

PvD quit on us , No more love.
I have to say he became less and less consistent over the years.
Last really good gig was closing of Crobar

I still have a place for him but I dont think he feels the same about NY anymore.
Plus.. he is getting older

yeah sadly i am...but i will admit i did NOT see his last gig in NYC which supposedly was bomb...BUT it was the same people saying thsi that thought Pier 54 was decent...which imo was far from decent....

so i DO hope he comes back....i just hope he does something good for us this time

ps FERRY FERRY FERRRRRRY! YAY!

-> Prepared for the onslaught of disagreements for this comment....

2004 was the first, last, and only time I really ever enjoyed a PvD performance out of the 8 or so times I've went to see him. The other times I still managed to have some fun hanging out with friends since many of my friends always come out for PvD.

Talking about Ferry he is alright but nothing special....not a fan. Better i prefer Simon Patterson.

Yee New Year gig at Roseland's fun banging. I never got disapointed with his set's. Maybe it's just me Paul always brings great tracks and mixing is always so unpredictable. That what i love to hear!

yeah. but we are talking when PVD used to cream your pants. you didn't just enjoyed his sets it was the highlight of the week.
