Techno tracks that will convert the uninitiated...

Techno tracks that will convert the uninitiated and lead our EDM brothers and sisters to a new beginning. For those who've seen the light post a favorite - be it Toronto, Detroit, Berlin, Swedish, British, Italian, classic, minimal, and all the rest. But try to stay close to the family tree and not branch off into the WAY out there offshoots like hardcore, glitch, etc... Ideally, post stuff that girls might like because too many of them hear the word techno and think ewww - and don't know the power and funk that techno delivers to the soul. Cheers.

2008 Techno track of the year - IMHO
Radio Slave - RJ

The beauty is in its simplicity in delivering the funk and soul taking you deeper and deeper...then ding...letting loose all that angst and aggression built up during the week.

Greg Gow - The Bridge (Late Night Grand River Mix)

Toronto's own Greg Gow was chosen to resurrect one of Detroit's most respected labels - Derrick May's Transmat - with this future classic. An emotional, introspective composition that will leave you contemplating both the despair and hope in your life.

Jeff Mills - The Bells

Detroit Techno classic that is most true to the spirit of what non-heads think of when they hear the word techno - hard, aggressive, pumping madness. Girls, this is what you wish the buildup to your orgasms were like taking you to both heaven and hell simultaneously.

Hey dude, I wouldn't mind if you took the time to embed a video. I don't know you and I'm not really into searching for your selections based on what may or may not be good taste. I'd like to discover a few gems myself in this thread. Cheers.

* And to head off any unnecessary drama, if you can't be bothered then that's cool. Just don't go tell me to fuck myself or the like. Or else I'll have to get all 'Dave Clarke' on your ass.

It was time to redeem myself after all the cheese I posted in the vocal trance and 'I'm a cheesehead' thread. Nothing wrong with the occassional slice of cheddar, but it's the underground house and techno that keeps me partying. Cheers.

Very nice selection. Never knew of that track before and always associated Mauro Picotto with trance - Lizard, Iguana, etc.. This one is an all out techno banger. Cheers.

From the "Review: Speedy J @ Footwork Sun. Sept. 6th, 2009" thread. The only thing I've seen or felt close to that was Ritchie Hawtin as Plastikman at King Towers for a Transcendance party. I <3 Techno.
