Actually this isn't the one I told you about but I'd still like your feedback of course

when it rains it pours right now for me apparently.

Posted by Adam420 on Sep-26-2010 23:21:

Hmm. Not for me but I'm sure if you give it a couple of minutes it'll be fine on your end too.

Posted by Sushipunk on Sep-26-2010 23:27:

Oh nice one Adam, I didn't know you recorded this. Missed nearly all of it, so glad I get to take a listen now

Didn't get to tune in sadly. Some great stuff in there. Feedback to come.

You're really on a prog tip at the moment, aren't you?

yep

Though I should mention I was very big into prog until that whole McProg thing started (you know, around 2008, everything progressive suddenly using 1/8 notes) and I just got tired of everything sounding the same. With some newer labels now pushing some fresh-sounding music, it's just hard for me to resist.

Edit: though I guess one could say that I never strayed too far away as the music in many of the mixes I've posted in the last 1.5 years (Wednesday 07:24PM, Mild Euphoria, Jupiter, Saturn and Beyond, etc...) is rooted more in progressive house than in deep house as I had stated at the time.

Posted by SYSTEM-J on Sep-28-2010 02:13:

McProg was more the 2005 Coldharbour/Andy Moor thing with throbbing side-chained bass and twinkly-toed melodies. Although it's probably a bit stupid to get so specific, given that "McProg" was invented by a guy on TA.

I guess I don't have you down as a prog-head simply because you play quite a different style of prog to me.

Yea, it was just a term I heard around here that I thought would apply pretty well in this case. Anyway, I think you would like this mix if you're at all debating checking it out. I mean to me, good progressive music us all about the perfect fusion of bass line and melody, atmosphere and groove, which if I'm not mistaken is a major criteria for you when selecting new (or old) music.

No doubt. I'd hope that would be the same with everyone. We all have slightly different ideas of what the sweet spot is, though.

I do want to give this a listen, but at 2+ hours I don't know when I'd have a slot to give it a proper listen and do it justice. I've still got other two hour mixes backlogged that I've promised to listen to. So don't expect any prompt feedback.

awesome, will check this out.

blarhghhhhhhhhhhhhhh

i already know im going to like this, i know most of those tracks.

i will check out. to see what you can do to prog house, ill comment probably this weekend.

edit* listened to it this morning.

this set is a keeper, lovely mix, i really love the first third and last third, but i understand your flow, if you changed up the middle part to follow more energy this set would be insane. transitions were very good and followed nice keys. well done bro. glad i invited you over :} gonna listen to it once again soon.

Wicked, wicked tunes. This is an awesome mix, Adam. I'm really into proggier sounds at the moment, so this is just what I was looking for.

Shame I didn't get to listen to it live, except for the last little part on Sunday morning

Many more listens for this one. Good job

This was pretty cool. I didn't like every single track in here, but there was plenty of good stuff in here. Loved the spacey sounds, and excellent mixing as usual. You are not slowing down with these mixes, haha.

Thanks for the comments guys, really glad ya'll have been enjoying this one

Posted by Goebbel Goebbel on Oct-01-2010 13:31:

i listened to it this morning, and i enjoyed quite a bit of it. I found the middle bits dragged on a little, but that is because io just don't really like this type of music.

you have the gift of a trance dj for naming sets

At first I was like "who is this random dude"

Posted by Goebbel Goebbel on Oct-01-2010 18:50:
