Oi Chinese speakers! How much English is there in contemporary putonghua and baakwaa?

Though I don't speak either language and reserve myself the right to be wrong, as far as I know, the video on the left is in Cantonese and the couple on the right is speaking Mandarin (they're both adverts, by the way):



Now, what impressed me is that they seem to use an awful lot of words in English. Is it just me trying to make sense of a language I don't understand, or am I on to something? The girl on the left seems to say "okay" at some point, which is present in most literate languages I know, but the girl on the right apparently says "baby" as a vocative, which is something I've never heard before in a language other than English because - let's face it - that's anything but flattering. But, I digress.

A while back I even saw people in Taiwan using the morpheme "ing" in words - and apparently spelling it out when they read it (I think most foreigners would say it as a syllable rather than "Eye-en-jee", but that's just me):



So, is it common to use so many loanwords in China nowadays? Did I even get it right in those videos above? Or are these cases just odd?

Come on, there are a billion of them on the planet, I should find at least one good-hearted soul to answer my question!

Though to every person that answers my question, I should find a hundred TA's to derail the thread. Which is fine, I want some fun too.

Well, the girl in the first video is talking about her breast size, so I guess it draws more attention than pretty much the rest of the thread combined.

i don't speak chinese, obviously. but if they're anything like koreans, then they're just using the english as loanwords for the fuck of it. nothing strange about that imo.

I don't mind if it's in Japanese, I think that's the only manga (?) I could be arsed to read.
