good camera for videos?

hey all,

i'm looking to get a simple digital camera with a good mic for taking videos. i'm not looking for anything crazy or fancy. all i want is to have a good microphone so when i record videos at shows you can clearly hear the music as opposed to ridiculous bass and sounds.

thank you!

I have a Sony DSC W55, and it works great... never have any muffed sounds or anything, and the video quality is very good

I'm running ZS3, stereo mic on HD video.

Only issue I've had so far was dealing with the AVCHD Lite .mst files. The inbox software is useless on a mac, iphoto for digital stills work fine, but to get to the HD Video files you'll need Handbrake to convert the .mst files to mpeg4 or something that you can use in iMovie or Final Cut.

found a used one on amazon that's in perfect working condition (only a few scratches) and includes charger for 70 bucks with shipping. can't pass it up!

look forward to finally being able to listen to the songs i record at shows!

I had no idea Handbrake could convert the files. Thanks!

go with cybershot t300 or t800. i have used it for about 3 years and it's the best you'll get.
