job crisis

Well this really sucks. I am a valet parker. A great job they works off tip as they say. Well I had a problem last night. I was managing in the front. I worked with two runners. One "was, or who knows" is my friend. They parked all the cars and that was it. The whole party was inside. Everything went smoothly untill we unparked the cars.

Out of all the cars, one car was special out of all them. The owner of the vheicle got his wallet stolen out of it. I am the manager so I had to take full-repsonsibility for it. I was there the whole time with the keys on the board so no one could access them except me.

From this siutation the only thing I know is

1)a vallet stole it
-Possible
-easy
-why decide to check this car out of many and get a wallet

2)someone went into his car and stole it
-doors were unlocked
-The cop that came was able to open 6 cars that were unlcoked

3)he forgot about the wallet at home
-false claim...did he find it yet?????

I think #2 holds its own more in this case because the F'n cop who came found cars unlocked leading to the claim someone robbed it.
I was the speaker the whole time for the owner of the car/the police/the owner of the temple who got really mad/ and even my boss and at 2:30 Am is not the best time to do it. I said from now on I will check every car if its locked after the other valets go on break. But thats too late. This happened last night and it involves my job and the others. I swear I will never work with my friend every again because stuff like this happenes alot with him. He don't know because he is retatarded but its sooo true. He was mouthing off to the cop and the cop said "one with the biggest mouth could of done the crime" In this case I hope he did and returns it. The owner of the wallet was I don't give a ish about the $$$ but my cards and stuff. I dont' blame him. I was cool about it but its toooooo late. GOD HELP ME!!!Valet parking is so easy but lets see. Gotta LOCK THE CARS UP WHEN YOU PARK THEM!!!I am not a securtiy guard but maybe next time I have to. My job of managing is watching gthe front for people and not the back to protect the cars. Laters

I feel for you dude, bad situation.

- Who the f**k leaves their wallet in a car, vallet parked or not.

- Should have some disclaimer/rule, if they leave valuables in the car they must notify you.

- Doors should be locked by vallet.

good luck

Hard luck mate. Are you fired or anything? Its tough when you have to take responsibility for other people's actions.

Man this is a tough one. I guess thats just the shit you'll have happen working in that industry. i reckon he probably lost the wallet on his own and thought he left it in the car or something like that

I totally agree. What if that guy said that he left a suitcase with a million bucks in his car? He's a moron, that's his problem.
