Old series (mid 90s)

Does anyone remember an old series from the mid 90s that was about peculiar phenomenons? From what I can remember, the episodes had nothing to do with eachother, and they were directed by someone big (Spielberg I think, but didn't see anything on imdb)

I remember this one episode about the black widow and Danny de Vito starred in it.

Anyone knows the name of this series?
