these are retro bikes which are very popular in India. And actually all over the world. Royal Enfield was established in UK in the late 1800s. It's been manufacturing bikes in India for Indian markets since the 50s. The parent company has long ceased to exist. But the brand continues to live and grow out of India.
The modern versions of these bikes are all up-to-date on technology except for the looks which are purposefully kept retro. There's a version of a 50s model which has become so popular that it has a waiting period from booking to delivery of over 10 months! Talk about gap between supply and demand.
