What ever happened to dope lasers

I noticed in the vids in the Ferry review thread that there were some dope lasers going on at Pacha. which leads me to ask...

1) were those done by stellar?
2) whate ever happened to stellar, do they still do made's stuff? or anyone's?
3) are those just pacha's lights and the lighting guy is sick wit it?

ugh... I wish the lasers in DC were like this,,,

whatever happened to that? I just don't see sick lasers anymore... maybe its because I moved to DC. not sure. even at electric zoo, I felt like everything was more screen-driven.

I dunno, just curious

True, what ever did happen to the sick lasers. They didnt even have them for ASOT 450, I think theyre starting to go with LED's now because they are cheaper and more $ efficient.

You know what else, what ever happened to Integral Sound? I havent seen them in a long time.

dope lasers exist .. not much in the US, but surely at Nature One in Germany this past summer .. some of my pics of the lasers:

Pure speculation: Lasers are prob expensive to run/rent. Plus dangerous. I had read about a festival this past year in Russia where a number of people (less than 10) got permanent eye damage due to it drizzling and laser refracting into peoples eyes. Link:

LED boards don't replace lasers. Are they really that expensive to run? It's just a focused beam of light, how expensive does it get?

yeah cause in the vid i saw it looked like the lasers of old. lasers i have not seen in a while. I asked the light/sound guy at Fur tonight what the deal was and he said the lasers I want are some super high, 100 amps required, mega lasers that if they directly hit people for too long will burn them. he said they're so hot you need some massive water cooling system. and all this other technical shit i dont remember. And he said you can fined for having them now or some such nonsense.

*sigh* now THAT is what kills clubbing for me. its not booking tijs at a small bottle service club, its not SHM giving One to pharrell for vocals. it's the lack of blinding, burning, death lights that crimps my steez. its late. im out

I haven't seen any other VIDEO's uploaded from the wee-hour laser display put up that morning but by then different lasers had been targeted into different mirror bowls going all at once bouncing in hundredS of random directions all over inside that space. The most BANANAS music+laser display in my life to day.

The best lasers I ever saw in New York was a few years back at a Made Party at Roseland.
