Gig wanted/ needed
I think there should be a seperate section for gigs wanted/ needed.
Im currently looking for gigs in the North of England and Texas.
I know of a club night in Sheffield that are looking for Djs.

Errr
"Too easy" Well it's a great idea if it makes its easier to get gigs. I don't really understand what you post is trying to get at. Your saying that most the jocks here don't have any contacts! Well.......and for a start thats the point of forums;to dicuss and meet like minded people.
A scheme where people put up wanted and needed gigs is like putting up for sale classifieds. It gets straight to the point and hopefully a potential buyer or Dj in this case. How can a positive be such a bigger negative (apart from using HTML). You can be amateur all you want but it's not until you get EXPERIENCE that you start to get somewhere. You not going to get much of an experience in your bedroom now are we?
Networking, which is what I am trying to do here, is all about building up contacts. Its obvious that the more people you know the more chance of knowing some one who wants a Dj or does Dj. Putting one forum to one side is a good way a quickly scanning relevant informtion to gaining gigs for those that want them.
Anyone interested in the RESIDENCY in Sheffield, UK (1,000 capacity) should send their HARD HOUSE, TRANCE demos to

All the best
what about a section for ppl who have the hookups, have gigs lined up, but dont have skills yet.
Thats me!!!
Well you will be sorted in a couple of months. It doesn't take that long to learn how to mix.
Assuming your skills are good, if you want a fast way to get a paying gig, id offer to play for free at a small venue just to get your name out. Some places wont hesitate to book free DJs. Then after getting some experience that you can say you have, go for the more popular places. If youre lucky, your first place might beg you to stay and will pay you.
