Finished track for once!

I've totaly re-worked that cheesey pop / dance thang.

Any thoughts before I send this out? For example on the transitions.

Ha ha, I'm a dope and didn't know how. Looks like SC is working now as Tehlord has managed to link it. SC homepage announcement today says there are known delay issues just now.

Cheers - yep - I think some chord layering towards the end would finnish this - tried to keep the rest fairly spartan - I noticed on a lot of my sons 'now' compilations that some big tracks have actualy not much going on in terms of leads and synths.

Whats the D Ramirez reference? Does he have a sh1t voice too!!

Just reminded me of D Ramirez in a mystical way.

When I said NO on teh cloud it was really in reference to the sound choice. Probably a little too far in the realms of pop/cheese.

The male vocal just ruins it for me. This sounds like something I would play if I were gay and I was partaking in a glory whole session with my bros just after we went shoe shopping. Are you gay ? Not that there is anything wrong with that but lately , you tracks just have this campy gay vibe to them.

I wouldn't call that pop at all. It is shoe shopping house. The blade reference was stupid and a great example of bad form. A random idea thrown in that adds nothing.

Gays have great taste - just look at the appartments and clubs for one!
I might add some male grunts into it.

That wasn't my favourite of yours, Rich. It sounded a bit too typical to me ears, and I really didn't like the New Order sample in this context. It's definitely well produced though. I don't have anything constructive to add simply because I haven't a clue when it comes to music like this.

I really dig it. The high-end glitch caught me off guard and I'm not sure, apart from the satisfaction of knowing I can still hear in that register, that I like them all that well. Don't get me wrong. I do like them just because they do some sweet sh*t. They're just really freakin' high and freakin' loud.

Apart from that, however, this isn't a mix I would have expected from you and it shows a hell of a lot of diversity in your skills. Really, really nicely done.

Hey thanks - I was trying something a bit cheese commercail - but in the end I'm totaly unhappy with this so I've stripped out all the synths and am returning to my darker more 'serious' (shit that sound pretentious) roots.

This music making is hard work when you want to leave the musical equivolent of 'Alien' (1) as your mark on the world - ah well, only another light years worth of practive and I might stand a chance

First part was nice, kinda agreeing on the blade thing...I think the piece stands by itself just fine.

Mix sounded crisp.

I've just uploaded a totaly new version you might prefer! Thanks for the feedback on the old version.

Works well for me.

Personally i'd like to hear a lot more of that bitcrushed perc in the mix, it was one of my favourite aspects of the original.

Is that dirty lead of teh analogs? Sounds mahusive.

Best thing you've done for a while imo.

Ok I'll take a look at reintroducing more bitcrushed perc - thanks for the pointer.

Lead is from the Leipzig analogue - I'm thinking a bit more reverb / delay in the 2 breaks might be good.

Heya Richard,

This is large.
It reminds me of Passive Resistance (which by the way is a good thing, one of my favourite tunes evr) with the lead, but it works really well. It’s very reminiscent of older Marco V style tracks.

This is one of those tracks that I would love to remix but would have to question if I could do the original justice as this is pretty damn good if you ask me. If you would like a remix of this the give us a shout as it’s always a plus to have that.

I think your darker roots paid off and it is definitely what you excel at.
You have achieved a catchy main hook which is hard to do.

This would definitely be played by me when you are ready.

Love the track
Nem

Yea a remix why not - given your pedigree!

Let me know when you want to play it on your show. I'll finish this one up in the next 2 days and send it to ya.

Cheers

Right away the drums sound off to me, like they are just stuck on there without anything done to make them fit. The whole production sounds kind of thin and too edgy. Sounds like you boosted the treble too much overall. It funny how the whole song sounds like every sound is from a toy and I am not sure you meant it to sound that way? I think it may be because the way you eq either the whole track or just the way you process your sounds? The song itself seems to jump from one Section to another with no real reason and it is deadly repetitive overall. Really nothing at all catches my ears to make it memorable. I would work on balancing out your track from lows to highs. Sorry man just being honest.

Thanks for playing this out last night on your radio show. It was awesome to hear it with your remix of bitcrushed liar, and in fact the whole show was superb mate.

Can I get a podcast, tee he!
