CDJ 2000 Question

Hello, I just got my cdj 2000s few days ago, and I noticed the wave display comes up very slow while playing mp3 files on a sd card . does anyone else have the same problem?

Thanks

is it with all mp3s or only VBR ones?

This is normal. If you want the WAVE display to come up quickly, you must analyze the tracks in Rekordbox and use that to transfer the files onto the player.

If you test out a CD, it basically draws about as quick as on a CDJ-1000. For MP3's, the player has to decode the file first... kind of sad the processor isn't a bit faster, but stick with Rekordbox and you'll be all set.

Yes, the wave display when a cd is played works fine. I will give the rekordbox a try when playing mp3 files.

thank you.

To clarify, you don't have to use Rekordbox LINK (using ethernet, although you can as well), you just need to pre-analyze the tracks prior to transferring them to a USB stick or SD card.

right, so load mp3 track into rekordbox, let it analyze and then save the track onto sd card?
