luciano
do you think luciano will spin in LA anytime soon? or any promoters would bring him out here?
i went to his night at pacha in ibiza this summer...and cant wait to see him spin again. good stuff for sure.
He and Loco Dice did their US bus tour early this year, which included a stop at Avalon. I'm sure he will be booked again, especially if he is playing @ WMC in March.

Ok. It's not a fail, but musically, the two can't compare.

he's not playing Avalon... i believe he's only doing 2 US shows (Pacha NY that friday and Liv in Miami that Sat nite).
Avalon already had other djs scheduled for the dates Luciano was available so they couldn't book him...
i'm really considering flying out to NY or Miami to check him out... I loved his set at Pacha Ibiza in Sept...
and yep he played Avalon May 2009.... his sound has gotten a bit more funky than the minimal-ish stuff he used to play... which is good in my book.
yep,I like her sound
It was last year after WMC when Luciano played at the Avalon.
I have been a HUGE fan of his for a while now. And IMO he's the best in the niche of Dj's, even out shining Ricardo Villalobos who is playing Canada on Friday. I was holding out to see if Villalobos was going to play anywhere closer, but that never happened
If this party wouldn't have creeped up as fast as it did, I would have gone to see him since I have never seen him live.
I was also holding out for Luciano, but same thing no west coast date. I am also pondering to fly out there to one of the gigs, but still uncertain to which one.
I also saw his video that follows him around in Latin America, good film and shows you a little perspective into his spiritual life...

Like mentioned above the two have complete different sounds along with one being house and the other trance.
No attempt to declare which is better, but I can only say that Above and Beyond has produce so many hits and have had great success in the last decade.
Luciano is cool, but too slow pace for my taste. It's all in what you like I guess.
he is playing early next year in Los Angeles for a tag team set
Luciano vs Carl Craig
cant say beyond that...

| Originally posted by Cool1g wasn't he supposed to play DEMF this year but there was some sort of visa issue or something at the last minute? i believe he's okay with coming here since Bush is out of office... |
