Push The Best Producer Of All Time..
I recommend PUSH( a.k.a M.IK.E), as the best trance producer of all time, with legendery tunes such as Strange World, Universal Nation, The Legacy, and many many more. Also his remixes of many tunes, show what a mastermind he is.Quality seems to be in almost everything that everytime he creates..I am interested to know what is your opinion about this great Belgian trance producer and explain how he manages to be so good..
What is my opinion? hmm
<----------------------

Hmm, IMO Push is at least one of the best but i would put Oliver Lieb as my candidate for the best producer of all time.. he has been around for much longer and made lots of nice trax under different aliases, such as LSG - The Hidden Sun Of Venus. He manages to always create something wonderful to dance to or to chill with.. and his style varies so much, from amabient/chillout to hard bangin' trance to progressive.
Well, personally I *like* Push but don't think it's the end-all and be-all of Trance...I'd put seminal producers like PvD and Corsten over him by quite a decent stretch.
The only original track produced under the Push name that I've really dug hard on is "Legacy" though some of his remixes are good...I really like his redux of Picotto's "Back to Cali" for instance.
I guess I've just never *gotten* Push
I think push stuff is good & up there, but not brilliant, he doesn't make as good stuff as ferry or SHOKK or scot project imo, a lot of his stuff sounds very similar, but that dont make him bad in any way

IMO M.I.K.E. and L-vee are two of the best producers, always delivering high quality tunes...yepp M.I.K.E. is one of the
best, no doubt..
i guess few ppl will vote against push but afterall chooosing the best of them all is always a subjective business so he will never be the greatest. they are all great...

Push is a top producer that's for sure... and yeah he does have brilliant productions but he isn't the best, atleast not for me.
i never figure who's my best producer, but as some one else said, they're all great.
oh, and a comment about some other posts here-
Quality over quantity, always remember that (or everything will be just crapy commecial :P )
Have to agree, I've pulled out some of his early bits done in 98 recently, listened to them again and they've got an early push-esque style to them that's just lovely.
I like to think it's a slightly more intelligent form of trance compared to corsten, tiesto et al.
While we're at it, Armin is probably my best remixer in the last 2 years, prior to that tie between VDM and Corsten.
Push = M.I.K.E. = Moon Project = Moogwai = (Many Other Artists).
Easily one of the top 5 best. It's too tough to decide who is "the" best one though.

Yeah, my bad, is Moogwai AvB?
I like Push, but there are several producers I prefer:
Ferry Corsten
Above & Beyond/Ocean Lab
Flutlicht/S.H.O.K.K.
Strange World and Universal Nation are both classics, but the problem I've always had with M.I.K.E. is that he has produced a lot of mediocre tracks along with his brilliant ones. For me, he is hit and miss, whereas I enjoy virtually all the production of the artists I mentioned above.
That's just my personal taste, though. I admit trance wouldn't be the same without M.I.K.E.'s many great contributions.

PUSH SUXX
Push is easily one of the best trance producers. He has been here for awhile and produced under many different guises, the styles ranging from progressive to somewhat uplifting. Yep, this guy is top notch
A good producer indeed, though there are so many more worthies for that title...

| Originally posted by starglider I think you've got the right idea. Push has many aliases and has released lots of records, but take a look at Oliver Lieb's discography sometime -- the amount of releases he's responsible for is quite astounding. It's also true that he's been in the scene for much longer. However, while Lieb has probably contributed more overall, I'd easily say M.I.K.E. and Laurent "L-Vee" Veronnez are the two top producers of recent times, with my personal nod going to L-Vee out of personal preference. Can't go wrong with Bonzai. |
I completely agree! I think M.I.K.E IS the best trance producer EVER! His ratio from good to bad tracks that he's created and remixed, and the number of great quality tunes he has produced just puts him over the top!
Just so EVERYONE knows, these are some of his aliases:
M.I.K.E
Push
Moon Project
Plastic Boy
Solar Factor
Yves Deruyter
Nevada
Intimo
Absolute
Musix
Ultra Vibe
Blackmaster
P.S. Haak dont kill me if I've forgotten any key aliases!
