Traktor Pro... due for an update?

So I noticed Traktor Pro hasn't been updated since April... they used to update it about once a month but have done nothing for the past 7 months. Think they are moving on to version 2.0? It certainly still has bugs that need to be worked out.

Anyone heard any news regarding this?

I can't help but feel it has something to do with the massive discounts they are throwing out now. I don't really know why they would not update, not like they are going to drop it, but still seems a little too coincidental. Anyone going to winter NAMM?

regarding discounts, agreed. it makes sense to try and push as many sales of the "old" software before a newer version comes out. it's just been way too long since they've done any updates.

FYI found this on the Native Instruments forum...

This thread provides information about patches for Traktor Pro and Traktor Duo (including the "Scratch" versions with timecode functionality).

It will be updated whenever new information becomes available.

---------

The currently available software version is 1.2.6. Please make sure that your installation is up to date.

---------

Upcoming patch: Version 1.2.7

---------

The patch is currently in this phase:
specification
development
beta testing
final testing
For an explanation of the different phases, please see the section below.

---------

The update will include the following improvements:

New functionality:
Resolution for "tempo" parameter increased
"Snap/Vinyl" mouse mode enabled for Traktor Duo / Traktor Scratch Duo

This list is subject to change, and does not necessarily list all features and fixes that will be in the final update.

---------

----

Patch status explanation:

specification - the changes to the software are defined, including details of new features and the list of fixes.

in development - the code of the software is being worked on by the developers.

Well, they just released the S4... which has a bunch of new features that ARE coming to Traktor Pro. So no doubt this is the delay. They were getting the S4 out the door, and are back porting the new features to Traktor.

freakish prediction there. but really, these updates probably mean nothing to 95% of users.

They updated today, i believe.
1.2.7 is out.

LOL seriously... I knew nothing. Based on the update I posted it was 3/4 through... who would have thought that last bit would take 12 hours (when the entire update took 7 months... lol

btw, i noticed 1.2.7 still has the start-up beep error. :/
