New style of Trance
Im trying out a new style here (listen for the drop)
Let me know what you think of my eqing as i am concentrating on that aspect of production at the moment.
p.s Does anybody know why ableton is so quiet?

Thanks in advance
You've pulled off something here that I don't hear so often - little going on perc wise, yet plenty of drive. I think this is due to the excellent interplay between the kick and bass. The kick is unusual sounding to me - seems like some interesting room treatment on it!
The bass sound and eq is pretty much perfect, and despite it's simplicity works well.
The break - honestly it doesn't have the impact in terms of interest that I was hoping for.
Can well imagine this in a set.
Thank you i'm so glad to hear you say that because i didn't really make an effort with the break, just needed to lead into the drop somehow.
Thanks again for your comments
Instrumentation in this track is well crafted. Concepts are familiar and simple, yet not so simple that they detract from the production as a whole.
The coming out of the break leaves me desiring more. It's not that the drop is basic, its that the percussion build up fails to sound great there. Work on cleaning up that build and perhaps automating some bitcrush or distortion on that part.
I love the old sense of nostalgic in this track. Keep on working mate.
Like other said, this sounds great cause its simple
I like how the clap works with the kick
The break needs a bit more atmosphere and I'd say work on the build up
Sounds quite Psy to me, and I think it's the bass that makes it so.
You do have good drive in it, but the idea could do with a lot more development.
As for it being a new style of trance, I think that would be a bit off the mark, but that said you have good mix skills and it sounds like you could take this a number of directions, I guess the choice is up to you.
Many thanks
Nem
Nem, this actually started out as a psy project and came out this way because of my mixed influences of psytrance and trance (and my fear of rolling basslines)
Thanks
