- Drum N BaSS is corny - probably the worst subgenre in the megagenre. I just could never get into it, sorry DnB stans. that bassline reminds me that DnB is impatient music, eager to stimulate the senses. it makes life feel shorter than it is.
-Liam Howlett's Experience is overrated. he was like 19 year sold when he made it but then again he wasnt a producing prodigy. more like a producing noob who still needed to get his feet wet in the whole techno game.
-djs hate carrying vinyls because they weigh less than 50 vinyls combined.

btw, if you're a hiphop fan, I created the hiphop version of this thread so enjoy

You are so very profound.

my unpopular opinions on electronica not giving a f are in various posts over the years.

i guess ill add another one.

its just a hip thing for white suburban males to do under the false pretense of being part of a counter culture movement.

<== guilty

Why is that hard to believe?

Posted by Chimney on Nov-10-2010 19:39:

Never liked DnB either, although I enjoyed J's mix.

I cant stand any of that Ricardo Villalobos, Richie Hawtin, Sven Vath (recent), etc techno stuff. its all emotionless, pretentious wankery to my ears. infact I find most techno to be just that with very few exceptions.

No, wobble is worse. Minimal can be good when done right.

wobble fart dubstep sounds like nails on a chalkboard, its actually unpleasant to listen rather than just being minimal. Alot of producers throw in random screeching noises that are extremely unpleasent (Doctor P, etc)

Wobble fartstep is shit by definition, minimal is not.

I like transformer-y dubstep (like Datsik). I think I'm the only person on TA who does.

MCs are terrible and completely ruin DnB and dubstep shows when they get on the mic.

I enjoy vocal trance from time to time.

I still think Armin is a good DJ and producer. Likewise for Above & Beyond.

I hate wobble, farty bass, humming noise and klonky drums

Luckily, I don't seem to know the sound of wobble fart dubstep. No need to post a sample, I don't want to, either.
Apart from that, Minimal =

Dear Tony,

How are you so patient? Any advice would be great.

Yours,

20 minutes on beatport and you can come across some good minimal techno... wobble wobble, not so sure, makes me cringe every time.

If you re-up your italo 2 mix, perhaps I will admit to agreeing with you...
