first vinyl ever bought?
so i was at a garage sale, and i was looking through some records, it mostly consisted of old rock records, and then i saw madison avenues dont call me baby it included the armin van buuren remix's but i bought it for the original, yes hate if you must! i thought what the hell if im going to start a collection might as well start it now. for 5 bucks it wasnt bad.
what was your first vinyl.
I think housewerk, phazer, and homage.
and also a acetate of us you me - undergrond sound on organgrinder.
the next ones I think were
and here comes the hitman - (two records left by some TLC artists visiting town) I didn't buy the third one that was left...
trying to remember... honestly having a hard time.. but I do have altitute Blue001 which was played at the first commercial techno event I went to. In 1998. It was my transformative year from house parties to events. Good stuff. To me phazer (now and the end) and homage vol. 1 in my mind are my "old records" and altitute is my "old memory" because it reminds me of the night as the record was played (perhaps even its release party of sorts for Blue001 since it was a blue party)
I can't say it was a release though in all honesty though because it was older - perhaps the same genre I listened to on pirate airwaves -- bacteria etc.. it sums up my early years of electronic music experience from about 1995 to 2001.
It wasn't me that bought it though - although not my oldest record it is my most self personalized record of my formative years.

One of my most prized records because of multiple labels on it.
I only have 1 vinyl, and have never owned a turntable. It's the Paul Simon - Graceland LP

It would've been this but the shop was out of stock:
Radiohead - Street Spirit (Tiesto Remix)

It had some god-damn awful Madonna remix on the B-side
EDIT: Three drives. Nice.
Nick Holder - Summer Daze
panda moon
Doug E. Fresh & Slick Rick - The Show b/w La Di Da Di
Nathan Fake- The Sky Was Pink
this one

The digital blonde:
Side A : Elektra
Side B : Optica

Much too long ago to be 100% sure but I believe it was either THIS or THIS.
bought this early 2002 i think and turntables during the summer, bought mixer christmas 2001. what a lol track btw.

1974, I asked for it for my birthday.
As far as something *I* bought, I can't really recall, possibly the Beatles "Rarities" LP.
Shiny Disco Balls i think
Size Triple D - Techno & Kosheen - Hide U.
Had one vinyl before those though: John O'Callaghan - Foreign Delusions which I won in some Chemical Records competition. Had that for quite a few years without even having TTs. Pretty
record all in all.
Focus - Zero In July
Sold it though
i can't remember, i think it was maybe this http://www.discogs.com/Various-Coun.../release/268118 bought back in '02 or 03.
Hot Natured - H.E.A.D.S. EP

Oh it was Marco Zaffarano - Minimalism Vol. IV EP(Harthouse) back in 1993. I'd just heard the track Supernova at a local rave the weekend before and when I got to the local record store the Monday after the vinyl was just sitting there in one of their ever diminishing vinyl crates. First time ever I went looking for a specific track from a rave/party and I found it immediately. It would never be that easy again hehe
