Ligaya News

Just some news on "Gouryella - Ligaya":

-The vinyl will be released on September 16th 2002 on Tsunami Records, including the original and the Rank 1 remix.

-A video for the song is in the works, and it will supposedly set the tone for the future of videoclip making (hopefully this means that the video will not be yet another cheese type video that is typical for trance).

I might add some interesting news to this roll:

I had a chat with Jezper "Airbase" S�derlund last weekend,and he said that he was actually asked to do a remix of Ligaya as well!He hoped that it could make its way on the official release along with the Rank 1 remix,but that wasn't for sure yet.So keep your eyes open!

what I have heard of ligaya (ie the radio rip), i love this track. Cant wait till it comes out.

Where do you guys get your news on stuff like this? I usually wait till someone posts it here.

weird.. I thought they were gonna try to get another big artist to remix it, I guess Airbase is just more known in the scene than what I thought.. in the internet he's very known but in the real scene I didn't think so.

well, maybe he can clear up this point as he sometimes visits this forum, right?

Ok, it's not until 16th of September, but until that time, there's enough quality stuff to be listened to / spinned / whatever (lil' secret: I'm not looking forward to this release at all, but that's just a matter of personal taste)

Personally I don't think it will be on the same vinyl as the original and the Rank 1 remix..

Most of these tracks are released as a 2-track vinyl imo...

So that means the original will get released with the Rank 1 remix on the flip, and the Airbase remix will get released with either the original, or a new remix (by whom? I dunno) on the other side..

Only things that are (maybe) added to these vinyls are only radio edits... And no-one is waiting for those ones..

Jezper's remix of The Answer got a lot of attention from Armin.Perhaps it just spread itself form there reaching Ferry in the process...who knows?

Anyways,I doubt that his remix will make it to the 1st release,it's probably too late for that.But maybe there'll be a remix 12"-later?That's my guess.

dude, it's being released only in september..

only like 20 dj's have the promos now. and I doubt any of them will put a full rip on the net.

OMG, airbase's mix must be a bomb!

allright, so i just heard "the great one" and i have to say it's a good, solid, quality production, but it does NOT deserve all the attention it already got. it's just the name Gouryella that makes people say: "omg, this is the best trance tune EVER!". to be honest, this is Nu NRG - Dreamland good. which, in my list, is a classic.

does anyone else agree with me that this track has gotten too much attention only because of the artist name? hope there wouldn't be as many posts about ligaya as there were about souther sun....
