Video Camera Rental

anyone have experience w/ vid cams? i plan to shoot a small 2-3min segment on the nightclub i work at and want to do something semi-professional looking. there are a bunch of local rental places, do these prices seem fair?

http://www.video-gear.com/Rental%20...TR%20rental.htm

i'm unsure what i need, i'll be shooting 75% of it inside the club itself but i do not need any audio. the club itself is pretty dark but has a giant 20ft x 45ft LED wall that i really want to capture correctly.

troll away

I'm a videographer. Renting equipment is expensive but that's what they usually charge. You be better off putting an ad in craigslist and pay a film student $100 to film it for you, just make sure he's got a decent camera and that you have permission to bring it into the club. But all of this doesn't sound like its worth it just to film a few minutes.

i'll probably film a few hours but i'll edit it down to a few minutes but i'd just like quality footage to work with. i'll put out an AD on CL, see if anything works! Thanks

you might be able to use a friend's consumer video camera if you are only filming the led (since that is bright). a lot of SLR still cameras can shoot video (for short duration) and have excellent low light capability. is for some sort of promotional thing for the club?
