Dunno What about the FAKE Ligaya ??l

So that fake radio rip that came out months ago stressed most of us out and thank God it wasn't the real Ligaya. But hey, it's not that bad of a tune and if someone works on it and improves a couple of things like the simple bassline it could be a pretty cool.

I remember someone said that Airbase was gonna rework this. Is it true? Want it or not, that choon is part of TA history and it would be nice to see it come out. Any news????

I just love that melody, it's a guilty pleasure of mine

I started a desperate thread about this just a few days ago here. Seems no one has a clue.

I really, really like this track. I might email the producer in question, Arcanus, for some answers, but he's probably swamped as it is. Maybe I'll contact trance.nu, since they're the ones who uncovered the truth.

Good to know someone else wants a full version of this.

I don't like particularly tunes that sound just too plain happy.. but this one strangely interessed me. Deserved at least a full version, as it's not bad at all. But.. the melody is taken from a children tv show?!! err.. that's funny

I'll sign the petition too.

Bring on the full version!

i don't remember how this sounded like. just that it sounded amateurish but i still loved it for a reason, maybe more so than the real ligaya. does anyone still have it?

Posted by tc-fan on Dec-04-2003 05:56:

it sounded good in the beginning then it became a cheese fest..it sucks...

Cheesy? Sure. So was Ligaya. I still think this clip has amazing potential.

(If mods want me to take down the sample, go ahead. I just figured it was okay because it's an incomplete work that isn't official.)

Thumbs up

Thanks!@

** shudders **

This is the first i've heard of this 'fake' Ligaya tune, so I gave that sample a listen. My god it's awful. Sorry to those who like it, but that would never pass as a new Ligaya tune. I guess I dont really like happy-happy joy-joy songs either.

Sad thats it?

Is that all there is? It doesn't even end!? C'mon...this some kind of new torture?

THE NERVE OF THIS GUY!

Posted by djSlain on Dec-04-2003 22:57:

didn't airbase make an extended edit?

Posted by benfica88 on Dec-05-2003 01:56:

When this first came out, I actually e-mailed the artist, asking him if he was gonna finish it. At the time he said he was too busy but said he wanted to compete it, but it's been, what, a year now?

p.s. i died laughing when he said the sample was taken from a childrens tv show

Posted by Clyde77 on Dec-05-2003 02:30:

lol email the guy again man. ask if he's done anything with the rip.. we want full version of it hehe

well state one - forever and a day was actually taken from the cbbc theme tune, which is the background music for children's tele here in the UK!

Sorry guys but i dont think too much of it... can kinda understand where your coming from tho.

Posted by Pio on Dec-12-2005 05:54:

So.......................

Has the full version been completed already?

Posted by RebeL9 on Dec-12-2005 09:04:

hehe this is so funny and seem to pop up once in a while.

the guy who made the fake Ligaya is a friend of mine and he actually rarely listens to trance. Airbase was supposed to remix it but seems like he couldn't get anything good out of it.

so a proper version will propably never see a release.

It was pretty shite anyway, to be fair.
I really don't see how this rough rendition of a Swedish(?) children's TV show has got people screaming for more.

Posted by Airbase on Dec-12-2005 14:26:

I still havent given up on the track. It's actually not far from finished. Worked abit on it the past weekend. Problem is that everyone has probably got their own idea how this track should sound, so I'll probably piss off alot of people with my version

Let's hear it and we'll see!

This track is too nostalgic, it has more meaning for me than the real Ligaya.

I'm really confused about this thread.

Are we talking about Gouryella here or what?

What's the situation with this 'Ligaya'?

Posted by DJ-RED on Dec-12-2005 16:40:

can u please post a sample of that fake Ligaya tune?

More than three years ago, everyone on TA and other trance sites was eagerly awaiting the newest Gouryella tune, Ligaya. For some reason, this tune was released on the Internet with the mislabel "Gouryella-Ligaya" and a hot debate ensued over its authenticity. Obviously, it turned out to be a fake, and the real producer of this was a Swedish guy who goes by the name Arcanus.

This track is amateurish, cheesy and very happy, but it's part of trance history for being such a tease. That's why some of us have been waiting for the full version for over three years. Apparently it was never finished by Arcanus, so Airbase has long been working on a remix.
