Armin Only
WOW, i really hope this comes to California!

They announced it would be be coming back to LA (it was among the cities listed when they announced the armin only world tour) but then it's never been mentioned again. I think all the stuff that happened at the events earlier this year might've killed the chance. And might be too late to try to organize it all at this point.
Watched 4 hrs of this live last night (when the video wasn't cutting out)...it looked great. Everyone looked like they were having a great time and Armin was loving it. Absolutely loved Nadia Ali's performance and Benno was amazing!
some of that looked cheesy as hell.. the rest looked pretty epic though!
it would be tough to pull off in California... especially with the stricter laws going on.

Originally posted by Tosh Ya i remember that, but then it seemed to disappear from the internet... We'll see, I wish there was a place big enough for it in SF, i remember seeing an unknown Skills party being listed on their site (or email or something lightly official) as being at the Cow "Palace" in November, but again, that just disappeared even though i doubt it was AO

I dunno. I thought he said production will be massive. This was shit production in comparison to other large events. I was thinking maybe a sensation production for an armin only. This was very similar to the last one. And really, not much was live as it could have been.

Originally posted by modthispny you think so? i thought the whole 'rave' ban was lifted once they put the new ordinances in place. i mean what's the difference between AO vs any raves that happen or tatw 350, etc. they can even tie it in as a TAO event(TAO 2012) like 2008.

Which would be less intimate, and I'm not sure you can just turn around and sell that many tickets for a single artist much less for several events. Oh well, i though it was amazing! And every song that could have was live, every guitar, every vocal other than BT and tracks by other people... |

Originally posted by 72hrpartyanimal Paladium has some type of exception with the curfew laws. Other larger venues are required to end at 2 now ![]() I don't think Armada would bother trying to do an AO event that only went till 2. IMO only though.

Originally posted by element-y Oh i didnt say i dont think it was sick. I like massive production. Just expected more i guess. And much more could have been live. Barely any live keyboards from benno. Orchestra didnt do shit really. Was there for what, one or 2 songs when the entire album pretty much has string backing. I just thought if planned out more, it could have been much more than armin dj set with screens and a few live guests. This was really the same as the previous one - which again isnt saying it was bad. Just could have been planned out more and made into a more massive impact. I agree sensation production is for much larger event crowds, but at least some of the set up could be used. I mean the standard dj end stage with projection screens and a little confetti and pyro is pretty cheap and simple to do when comparing the amount of money the event is making. But yea, i will still go to one in LA when it comes for the fun of it. But its nothing like comparing it to a sensation that I would much rather prefer brought to LA or the US in general.
