Australia in January

Heading to Australia in January, and want to check out the local scene. Any of you Aussies have any recommendations for me?

'Church Of Techno' every Sunday starts at 12pm typically finishes at 8pm.

Address is: 30 York St, downtown in Sydney. The only decent clubbing event you'll find here on this frequent basis.

Bummer about Church of Techno... I had heard good things about it. Never heard of Chinese Laundry but I'll be in Sydney for a week, so hopefully I can check it out. Thanks for the tips guys.

Look for Summadayze and Summafielddayze. It's a big festival which goes to Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Perth I think. Maybe some other cities too.

I'm thinking of heading out there as well, most likely Jan 14-23 - first in Melbourne for watching the Australian Open, and then in Sydney.
Too bad for me that all the Summadayze events will take place before then.

Big Day Out is pretty good....massive festivals, although it is more of a rock event
