Brooklyn NY

ok...first let me appologize to Z if there is a thread i missed with info on this....eeek the search function and I do not work well together it basically pulls up everything

So from what i hear Brooklyn is known for some great parties/clubs...but mostly (if not entirely) house music. Is that true? No trance? And what are the best venues/places? Websites i can view??

I love it here now and its only been two weeks, however, i want to find some PARTIES!!!

youre assistance is greatly appreciated

There were lots of warehouse parties. They are most typically techno parties.

The breaks have all but been put on those though.

I don't think that there is a big Trance following in Brooklyn... indie rock and techno mostly.

Not much in the way of Trance. There used to be once in a while @ Exit in Brooklyn. McCarren pool for as long as that lasted and thats pretty much it. Besides that may be at some random raves but that's pretty much it.

Flawless has been throwing some sweet parties at the Counting Room every thursday. I stopped in for Adultnapper and it was a really nice vibe. Good bar too.

Nothing wrong with house music. I came from listening to hard style, trance, house and now minimal and techno. I guess if you give it a try, your ears will like it.

@hellosam

I gave you few leads, this is what internet is for but when you ask for house, this is as house as it gets in NYC for example:

but be anal if its what you need.

Posted by hellosam on Nov-17-2010 21:11:

webster hall...again manhattan...

heheheh

FYI call it anal but i live really far from the city so im hoping to find stuff that wont take me an hour to get home after potentially drinking

ADDITIONALLY the trains in BK go apre shit after midnight so being in the city is not my cup of tea in the freezing cold at 3am hoping to get home

Posted by hellosam on Nov-17-2010 21:12:

ohhhhhh sorry i wasnt more specific too...i was referring to house stating that i found a lot of house but no trance...Im actually looking for trance music

sorry....i could have definitely verbalized myself better there

trance is a different story here. somebody will sure direct you in proper directions. BTW Brooklyn isn't small. There are events of all sorts but promotions are somewhat bios. in a way the info doesn't travel far and so on. then again, those that search find.

Personally, I LOVE MTA!!!

Mister Saturday Night is a dope party in BK that I went to last weekend. Its all house/deep house. The residents Justin and Eamon are great djs.

Thats Classic house / not House

Big difference

House aka Progressive house, (very hard to find these days)

srsly. When I moved here two years ago there was a warehouse techno party almost every day. Hell & Heaven last year was truly epic. Was much slower this summer, unless I just fell off the planet.

NVM... I understand but I don't intentionally follow that sort of music in the clip. too cheez-wiz for my taste ^^^ I try to avoid that music in whole honesty.
