SICK SICK SICK SICK SICK INSANE mind blowing driving techno...
I have to admit, I've never heard Richie live before (fail), hadn't planned to go to this party b/c it was originally at Good Units and I don't like the sound there at all and didn't want to spoil my first Richie Hawtin experience...but since the venue changed, decided to rally the troops last minute and we headed over a little before 1am--got in easy and Richie was just going on...def didn't expect what I was gonna see/hear and most def didn't expect to be standing up on the stage watching him in action, but wow... he's got so much going on at once its mind boggling, i stood there just staring and watching his hands move from place to place, twisting knobs and pushing buttons. His focus is unbreakable and you can tell he really looks at this as constructing an experience for your mind, body, and ears..
video--towards the end of his set, around the 5 minute mark all hell breaks loose...he played this inaudible bass that rumbled the whole stage, you could feel it in your entire body but it didn't interfere with the other layers of the track..i can only imagine what it was like on the floor with speakers at full capacity. wish there was a way to catch that on camera...


place stayed packed and people were losing their shit with every build off every track.

BLK MARKET deserves MAJOR props for this! proving when they do the party themselves they do it RIGHT and are def the best promoters/party producers in NYC. venue was PERFECT for this type of sound and crowd, sound was dialed in perfectly, lighting was awesome, venue was climate controlled well and it drew everyone in and really reminded me why I love live music so much seeing the crowd go ape-shit when Richie would do that mind-control thing he does so well. icing on the cake to an amazeballs weekend.

i'm gonna go to sleep but first i need to comment: how the fuck did you write a review already??? (i'll read it in the a.m.) and also i can't see the pictures/videos/multimedia you shared because it's on facebook!

i had a GREAT night over all. danced wayyy up front alllll night long. brett and andrei were fantastic, gaiser was good, and then richie was obviously wonderful. i'm so glad he played late (or later than we all expected).
anyway, i had a really good time until i found that my car had been towed. fuck the police. and fuck me. what an idiotic mistake that was on my part. i'm never drinking 4lokos again, i'll tell you that muc hright now. good night.........................

yeah I plan on taking one to the head if even that- and usually dont drink that much once Im in the club- well def not 4-5 shot type drinking. Just looking for the buzz and the energy- these legs dont got it like they used to after hours and hours of dancing lol..

Glad u guys are enjoying the videos I usually don't bother with video cuz it's so dark and the audio gets distorted, but I was up on the stage behind the speaker blast and with enough light it worked out well..and even I needed to proof of what I was hearing for later lol.
To answer how I got up there..I work for a promoter that is close with blk market, very fortunate for me and I def don't take it for granted. This was the greatest possible way for me to experience my first Richie hawtin meltdown!

id like to see him as Plastikman once more to see how much more hes advanced since then (however, nothing beats his dj sets)- DEMF '10 will always be remembered.

Those are some great vids, Ammora I lost my friend Mike early in the night, and when I looked up he was right next to Richie where you were, lol.

I had an amazing time. All of the djs that played were amazing, I heard Gaiser play before, but he really surprised me on Sunday and then Richie just blew me away like he always does (I liked this set much better than when he played @ DEMF).

Props to Taimur, Fahad, Memo and their whole team, they threw an epic party

lol we in still 10 but were still not in the event so it shall be remembered, regardless how long its been- the event, lets focus on that.

im pretty sure the richie party on sunday is something a few ppl experienced which they will always want to remember (and it hasnt even been a week)
