Can't be worse then tiestor..

Posted by Fledz on Nov-27-2010 11:37:

Yea I'm keen too. I don't even listen to ASOT any more and I don't think Armin is a good DJ but it will still be pretty fucking epic. One massive festival type of event.

Fuck it, why not. Should be laden with classics and bring back memories.

If this were the case it would be amazing. However there is a stigma attached to playing classics these days and no one does it

Posted by Aesthetic on Dec-06-2010 22:43:

Armin should be playing classics. I listened to the new armin only set.. besides Solarstone - touchstone and a few others it was mostly s-h-i-t.

Also the remakes of classic tunes is out of control, seems that its only playable if they have a 2010 on the end of something.

This event had potential to be a mini trance energy, instead its just a showcase of armada

dunno why i thought any different considering thats what ASOT is lol

Posted by Light The Fuse on Dec-07-2010 00:45:

i read a really good line a few months back about armada - i cant remember it word for word - but it was something like:-

"Armada is travelling down the same route as Tidy Tracks (remember them?)- a few years of success followed by a future wallowing in its own empty self created universe devoid of any creativity or progression with a small devout band of fanboys who will be lost when it finally capitulates"

I AM DEFS GOING!

its going to be amazing!
im so keen!

and to ^^^^

its going to be WAY better than tiesto.
I saw him at stereo and he was disgusting. Considering the last time i saw him was the elements of life tour a few years back (which was awesome)

Not trollin' just wanting to know a fan's opinion

Has the oz lineup been released yet?

Posted by RaverSpike on Dec-12-2010 08:09:

i'll hopefully be going, asot parties are out of control imo, it was good when they did the many cities for asot 400 but now its absolute joke, doing the same shit year after year, I'm really happy thats its finally come to Australia, but i just wish armin, would try something different, plus having the same dj's is really bad imo, theyneed new fresh talent not recycled djs.

Because your gaurenteed to see Armin.
And then some of the best Trance Dj's
hopefully
Shah
Simon Patterson
Ferry - very very doubtful but would be a nice surprise.
etc

All in the one place. Usually in Aus you have to goto several events over several months to see them. This way its all one night.

thats why i said doubtful.
But a guy can hope.
we get too screwed over in Aus when it coems to big names playing back to back or even on the same stage!
off to europe i go!

Posted by Suttle on Jan-06-2011 12:14:

As much as I can see Armada becoming a commercial wh*&e, this should be epic.

Posted by Fledz on Jan-08-2011 03:09:

Becoming? Armada is already the biggest piece of sellout shit in the scene.
