cubase 5 audio problem

hey guys, so when i open any project in cubase 5, i get a message that says Missing Ports:
then it lists my M Audio sound card and it says Unmapped...

so when i play anything on cubase, i dont hear anything, although when i play anything else on the computer or on youtube, everything works fine.

WHat settings do i have to adjust to map these back together?

Look under the Devices tab for VST Connections, (or hit F4).

In that window hit the outputs tab, and check that the stereo out left and right channels are mapped to your sound hardware main outputs.

If you can't see your sound hardware outputs in the available options check the Device Setup window to make sure the right hardware / ASIO driver is selected.
