I can't get past the first page - their server must be slammed.

It does say in the fine print at the bottom of the first page that upgrages/crossgrades to Komplete 7 are excluded. A little OT, but are you on K6 kit? I am and I really can't justify moving to K7 - the synths are identical, so it seems more like paying $199 for a bunch of NI soundsets than a true "upgrade". K5 users get a great deal with the upgrade, but K6 users get kinda shafted IMO. Oh well, I'm happy with K6.

The server was playing about when I went on earlier but I managed to grab Evolve 1&2 and Truestrike Tension for 109

Happy days

Nice - Tension is one that I've been tempted to buy for a while, but not sure that I can justify it with Christmas right around the corner. How is it?

strongly considering this and i dont even have a daw to support this yet. My friend showed me Reaktor, and I was very impressed. That thing was generating good quality, pads, basses, drums, percussion, synths, leads, everything. It also seemed very complex, how is the manual that comes with this? and i cant check the link now, server downtime.

Reaktor comes with a 330+ page hard copy Operation Manual that is really just an overview of the interfaces and features, not a "how-to" guide by any means. It also includes pdf for the following:

Getting Started (147 pg)
Instrument Reference (394 pg)
Module and Core Reference (398 pg)
Modules and Macros Reference (224 pg)

So, yeah - it's complex.

thats really good to hear, and thats exactly what i was hoping for. to my ears the quality was great.

and just as I got rid off some native instruments stuff to finance my switch over to the darkside (just ordered 27" iMac/Logic 9/audiofire 8). But now I think I need to get reaktor back (FastFX <3) and maybe buy that north india soundpack.

Does anyone have "sax & brass" and reaktor "electronic instruments 2" installation packets for Mac?

I've not got it installed yet (d/l now) but for 39 it's almost throwaway cheap.

It'll keep me in bangs while i'm saving for EWQL complete composer

Santa is bringing me a W7 64bit/8GB upgrade (i'm too good to myself sometimes) so I can run all the sample shazzle.

it says the server is down..

You have Stormdrum already right?

If so then definately not worth it, but for some cheap instant cinematic drums it's a bit of a no brainer. It's 33 kits, Kore Player only and each kit is just spread out over 3-6 octaves so it's a bit hit and miss (no pun). I suspect several are FX laden versions of the same thing.

Still, at this price I'm happy.

Ah really? What bullshit. Punish their existing loyal customers just to get some new ones why don't they

I'm actually on komplete 4 which I got as a free upgrade to K3. Its been a good deal for me, but I wouldn't mind the new kontakt and a few of the other goodies in there... That said, I hear you over your concern that one of the biggest VST makers are turning into a sampling company, total rubbish aimed at lazy noob producers who want instant results rather than sitting down with a quality synth like absynth and crafting a new sound.

Posted by lowski on Nov-26-2010 03:28:

I'm interested in getting Komplete 7. Does any one else have this?. There are a few to choose from, Komplete 7, Komplete 7 Elements, Komplete 7 player....I'm confused already...

Posted by kitphillips on Nov-26-2010 03:57:

Player is free, elements in rubbish, Komplete 7 is all their products (bar sample libraries) packed into one package.

Posted by J.L. on Nov-26-2010 05:08:

Well if only the 50% sale included komplete...

that would be an absolute STEAL.

I guess for me, in the meantime, I'll just have to slowly save up =P
