Great PC speaker deal, but hurry!
Hey guys. I was just browsing slickdeals and came across this.
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...m=ATVPDKIKX0DER
80 bucks for the Z2300s are a total steal. I learned to DJ with these speakers about 5 years ago. While they're not gonna be anything like a pair of studio monitors or larger PAs, I highly recommend them for basic bedroom setup or small house parties. The Bass and mid range is great, although there's no tweeter so you don't get definition in the hi's. But I still break mine out when I don't want something as loud as my PAs for a house/apt. party, but also not something as flat sounding as my studio monitors.
I paid 200.00 for them 5 years ago too.
Besides maybe the Klipsch ProMedia 2.1 (which are a lot more expensive), these are pretty much the best 2.1 PC speakers on the market.
The Z2300 probably has lots of bass I'd guess. Do they sound mushy at all, or are they sufficiently clear and able to take the drum thumps?
I have the Klipsch Promedia 2.1 you mentioned, the side speakers have a midrange and tweeter but the subwoofer is not as big as the Z2300. I got them for $100 new, others recommended them often on this board. Have no idea how the chain store I got them from (London Drugs) sold them so cheap, refurbs maybe. Old design but not yet discontinued by Klipsch. Good for DJ practice (not as harsh nearby as real PA speakers) and for TV/DVD/iPod.
yeah what a deal. id get a nice dinner instead.
they're going for 107 now...still, for the price...it's good. Even the promedia at 150 is a good deal. lol, the bose speakers are a rip for sure.
