My facebook profile has been disabled (I hope this is temporary)!!

Has anyone's facebook been disabled before? If so, did facebook ever contact you back about reactivating it again?

I have a feeling this is going to be permanent. This happened 4 days ago. I've emailed facebook already, but no reply. I'm really upset about this because I have a lot of pictures on there that weren't backed up... not to mention all my important contacts.

I wonder what motherf*cking OBSESSED little bitch hacked into my facebook profile or reported me as a fake account and caused it to get disabled? I have a feeling I know who it is, but I don't want to name any names.

I wish I knew someone who worked for facebook that could help me. Ugh!

How do you know they reported it as a fake account?

new profile layout sucks and theyre moving everyone to it now...

also if you dont get it back the end of the week let me know. ill msg a few friends at facebook to see if they can help.

Well, on the FAQ page, this is what it says:

Why was I disabled?
Fake accounts are a violation of our Statement of Rights and Responsib...

* Impersonating anyone or anything is prohibited.

I'm surviving fine. My problem is that I had a lot of important contacts on there, friends from high school, friends from around the world, family, etc. It will be hard to track everyone down again, if I have to make a NEW profile. Not to mention all my photos that I do not have backed up.

I've known people who have had their accounts disabled, and when they re-activate after the problem is solved their profile is exactly as it was before.

About a week, I believe. This was a couple of years ago, though.

I know before they made people who were reported for fake/hacked account take a picture with their user name on paper. That might help.

My old account was disabled because I was adding too many people within a short amount of time (when I first joined facebook). Usually you get a warning of some kind first. I waited a while and started adding again but I guess it wasn't long enough because my account was disabled.

I wrote facebook a message telling them I wasn't spamming or adding people randomly. I actually knew each and every person and told them they could verify that if they would like.

I never got a reply. I just created a new account and copied everything off my old one. The page itself was not disabled. Only my access to it was.

you got a facebook speeding ticket!!! i know some others that received that too. Usually ive seen the 7 day thing and then everything is fine. Actually usually i see a warning...THEN if you dont stop a temp shut down with contact needed to reinstate the account.
sucks that they arent formal with it it seems some get shut down perminantly while others dont ??

Ya, I don't know either! I've never spammed anything, or clicked any weird links, and all my friends were people I actually knew (I only had about 500 friends). I didn't even get a warning.

The only thing I'm concerned about are my pictures that weren't backed up, and my friends/family who will be hard to track down & add again.

I've already emailed them a photo of my ID to verify it's not a fake account (this was on Monday). It's now Friday, and I haven't heard back from them.

You might try photograbber in the future so you don't lose all those pics. Downloads all the pics your are tagged in.
