TRACKERS! (.xm, .it, .s3m)

Anybody here track still?

I'm just curious, cause i know there's still an underground following for this ancient technology.

I myself, track... and sometimes wonder why i still do. But i have a few good tracks under my belt (most of them gabber tho :P ) My tracks usually are hard and have a bouncy/happy feeling to them.

So... does anyone else here, Track?

oh yeah, i remember those oldskool mods and shit like that
i used to track, but it was too difficult and i couldnt be arsed in the end
however, Sidewinder & Bjorn Lynne r good trackers

Used to do this a lot some 5-6 years ago, really loved it then. Today, I don't know why I did, because I pretty much sucked. Tried something last year with FruityLoops (which is also a tracker, but has many more functions too), and I still sucked. That's the main reason I stick to listening at the moment

Anyone care to explain these things you're talking about? I'm pretty lost but interested to know what they are.

hahah I used to use Modtracker, Scream Tracker, Fast Tracker .. man that was ages ago, never even thought about these things for like 10 years....

Teknohe@d .. trackers are very basic computer music making programs .. it's hard to explain, but rather than playing a melody on a keyboard or whatever, u place the notes into different spots.. u really hafta see it to understand, but yeah. They are like using a waterpistol vs machine gun when u compare them to scoring programs like Cubase et al...

ahh the good ole days
